Just as he thought. There really was a message by that God.
[ Your soul skill Poison synth has changed to Petrosapien's physique.
Petrosapien physique:
Energy Manipulation : Deflection, redirection and absorbtion of energy. Active skill.
Enhanced body: Enhanced strength, enhanced durability, enhanced jumping, enhanced dexterity, enhanced acrobatics, heat resistance, space survivability, Pure energy immunity, body alterations and regeneration. Passive.
Immunity : Time ray immunity, Aging immunity and decay immunity. Space-Time entrophy. Reality. Locked.]
The first was about the soul skill.
[ Your friends are good and all. All of them somehow used their punishments into something that was purposeful. They are well and you don't need to worry about it. It was something we have to do so don't blame us for it. Even if you did, it doesn't matter, I will just throw you again.
The net geek killed a few million when I said that he was here for killing. Or did he? That's all. I will wait for you. This is a recorded message, don't scream like violated madman. I am your God, not your colleagues.]
What the....
What is he talking about??
Well all's good if they are good. There was a big chance that God was lying to him but he can't do anything to change it.
Hence he turned his attention to his soul skills information. A lot of abilities had came.
{ Soul rings are the medium to pass on the Petrosapien gift.}
Fan Lin remembered this line that was written the first time the message came.
'If I have fused with a hundred year old spirit soul instead of a ten year old then that would have given me more skills at the beginning. That's unfortunate.'
Fan Lin thought that his plans would had become far easier to accomplish if he had more of his present skillset in the past.
What has happened couldn't be changed. He once again consoled himself.
He, for one last time, checked his body. He had shrunk. Horizontally. All small and medium scars were gone only the big ones remained. 23 to be exact. He washed himself and got out of the free room after wearing new clothes that were clearly being baggy to him now.
The receptionist smiled at him when he returned. He smiled back.
"What's the time?"
"5 am in the morning. Sunday."
"Ohh. Thanks."
He dade his farewell and left the Pagoda on his legs as running was faster than the taxi. He reached Shrek, went towards his usual training area near the working students' dormitory and took out a blanket to sleep.
He had been enduring pain for nearly 12 to 14 hours and now he needed his well deserved rest. He closed his eyes, cut off his senses and consciousness and went to sleep.
The next day.
Fan Lin woke up and looked at the time. Classes would start in half an hour.
Oh
He hurried to the Lecture podium and was barely on time. The teacher came and began to teach.
After classes he ate lunch. He ate a lot. At least 16 times his usual amount just to check when he will explode.
His new body was different. He doesn't have to fear his over charged state. His new body could hold a lot of energy, it could even store the previously feared excess energy for future uses. His cultivation speed would soar once again.
Another reason why he was eating this much was that he was on the bottleneck of his second rank mecha designing. Once he passed this bottleneck he would be a third rank mecha designer.
It hasn't even been a month and he was nearing third rank. If others heard about this, then they would die in envy.
Most of it was due to his past life habits. He needed to lay traps and then to remember where each trap was and where should he place them, so animals won't be harmed. Mecha designing was all about the positioning, detailing and remembering where each Circuit's main nodes were connected so as not to cause a clash between two circuit paths.
He passed first one in just three days. And he was at the bottleneck of second rank. He will be a third rank in around a week. He needed to be a fourth rank to design a Battle Armour. He should be able to become one in the next three months. Then there would be two years for him to make the battle armor piece design and use it to pass the test. Hence he was hurrying.
"That didn't explain why I am eating so much for."
He said and went to the boundless forest to train.
After coming out of the boundless forest it was already night. His soul communicator rang out. It was an unknown number.
"Hello kid. I was a little hasty with you. I apologise for that. Why don't we meet and talk in private once again. This time as a co-operation. What do you think? "
"Ok" He said.
"Then let's meet at the Spirit Pagoda tomorrow."
"So you are from the Spirit Pagoda. Hmmm, that explains how you got my new number."
"...."
In the spirit Pagoda headquarters.
Qiangu Dongfeng was a middle-aged man. He was big, tall and had handsome features. He had a high nose bridge and slightly small eyes. A powerful imposing aura emanated from him. He was also the person who wanted to take Fan Lin under him. He had already thought of killing Fan Lin but stopped after he threatened him. He was Limit Douluo and a four word battle master but there were other Limit Douluos in the Shrek city.
Hence Qiangu Dongfeng calmed down and began to pay attention to Fan Lin from the shadows. After getting a rough idea on how and what would tick Fan Lin and what could his future plans be, Qiangu Dongfeng decided to lay down and offer to Fan Lin, one that he wouldn't refuse.
Previously, he had wanted Fan Lin for the start of his plan but now he wanted more and if played well, he will achieve it before Fan Lin even realizes it.
That's why he called Fan Lin. He thought Fan Lin would not agree and has prepared more things to say to him. But since Fan Lin agreed. He invited him the next day.
Good things should be done sooner.
Clouds filled the sky the next morning, their shadows painting the city in bleak colors. In spite of this, the working student dormitory was as lively as ever.
A completely unrelated thought as Fan Lin looked at the huge building in front of him.
The Spirit Pagoda Headquarters stood right before him and he had to crane his neck just to take in its entire magnificence. Even so, he could not see the top of the pagoda. The upper half of the building pierced through the clouds, only its silhouette vaguely discernable from that point onward.
This was a location of absolute authority on the continent!
All in all, Shrek City was the greatest city on the continent because of two main reasons: Shrek Academy and the Spirit Pagoda headquarters. Tang Sect has no value at this point of the story.
If the two great organizations combined forces, even the Federation could only tremble before them.
Shrek City was highly autonomous. Apart from the region surrounding the Spirit Pagoda headquarters, the entire city was solely self-governed. The Spirit Pagoda, on the other hand, was far more influential. It maintained a good, cooperative relationship with both the Federation and Shrek Academy. The Spirit Pagoda's council had wisely chosen to abstain from politics and to not control any soul masters. Thirty-six members made up the entire core council. Not only that, it was run differently from the way large clans and other organizations were operated. How? It wasn't revealed as it was a secret.
Furthermore, some of the council members were sent by the Federation. Although numerous soul masters joined the Spirit Pagoda, the core of the forces under its command numbered less than three thousand. Coupled with the advancement of soul technology, these soul masters were no threat to the Federation.
As such, the Federation and the Spirit Pagoda shared an amicable relationship.
The Spirit Pagoda's founder, Spirit Ice Douluo Huo Yuhao, founded the council system that allowed the Spirit Pagoda to persist for ten thousand years. And now it stood as one of the continent's greatest powers.
No one knew how deep Shrek Academy's foundation ran, and the Spirit Pagoda's wealth and number of masters were anyone's guess since when did big corporations publicize their exact stats to the government?
