"Alright", the elderly father relented. "I shall have you take my crown and proceed with the reign. But in return, you must bind your forces and show me that you can administer a peaceful reign. And you must also ensure that my long life is afforded to me."
The son laughed him to scorn. "This is no time for you to make me an offer. I believe the throne is taken. But if I am merciful, I shall keep you in this palace as long as you do last."
