Brother Du was stunned, he had stolen all of these things from the traveller and the man who was responsible for creating these things was now rotting in the stomachs of the wild beasts. It was not that Brother Du did not try to find out how these things were made but the traveller who was caught by them knew that he was not going to survive after they did not let go of him once Brother Du found out how the things were used.
Thus, he did not open his mouth and did not tell Brother Du anything. This action of the traveller annoyed Brother Du so much that in his anger, he killed the man and it was only after the man stopped breathing did he realise that he did something wrong but it was too late to regret it, he could only throw the corpse away and then bring those fireworks back with him.
