Chapter 4 - Annoying Students and Even More AnnoyingTeachers

Louis, very clearly didn't like me. As he led me around campus, he barely spoke a word, simply stating the names of buildings and their function. He refused to look at me. I faintly wondered what I had done to upset him, but harboring such thoughts are exhausting.

The more I studied his face, the more he resembled the Professor previously. As we were making our way back to the infirmary-- Likely so I could grab my luggage, sort out some last-minute paperwork and discuss my schedule, a woman with bright pink hair stops us in our tracks. A smirk taints her face as she glowers at the both of us.

"Hi Louis~ Is this the infamous new student~?" She says, darting her eyes between the two of us. I remain silent, observing her face. She was strikingly beautiful, a high nose, bright eyes, long legs. She seemed to know as well, with the way her skirt was just slightly too short and her blouse slightly too tight. Louis nods his head.

"Yes, this is her." He says, his voice disinterested. The girl smiles widely, turning towards me.

"Hello! I'm Lisabel~!" She says. I nod my head in greeting. "Dara." I say softly. Lisabel tilts her head. "Well aren't you a quiet one~ You're really nothing like the rumours!" She says.

My attention perks. There are already rumours?

"Rumours?" I questions. Lisabel studies her nails, her fox-like grin only thinning.

"Oh of course the ones about you being... well, what's the word? Barbaric? Ah yes." She giggles. "The ones about you being a barbaric commoner of course! And managing to brute force yourself through the exam~" She says, gauging my reaction. My face remains blank however. "Ah." I manage to get out. Louis sighs, cutting in between Lisabel and I.

"Well, we're in a rush. Goodbye Lisabel." Louis says, clearly trying to diffuse the situation (albeit unnecessary). Louis grabs my hand, which is surprisingly sweaty, and rushes us back to the infirmary.

Is he scared of her? Why is he so panicked?

It seems he might not be treated as well as I thought he was at this school.
