Being reborn in the old ancient times was not something he expected, even more so in a world where the gods, magic, and monsters were very much real and doing shit and messing with the lives of mortals.
And by mortals, I mean him!
He was born to a family of hunters in Arcadia. He remembers the day he died and was going to be reborn. He had to roll to receive three special abilities - He was not the son of a God, but he received a special opportunity to try out a system made by one of the greater deities, a system given to him that would grant him 3 archetypes and their powers. This system was a beta version, and he had to see if there were any bugs and report them.
[Status - Archetype System | Beta Version 1.0]

These were only his starter skills!
Now imagine him, born to this world with these abilities... He saw how his parents were going to die the moment he looked at them. The only destiny he couldn't see was his own! His parents were going to die together, happy, as far as he could tell.
He had the blessing (or curse, most likely curse) of being born handsome. Homosexuality isn't exactly a thing, since here the act of two men fucking each other is seen as more common than anything else - So it is of no one's surprise that he had the attention of not only the female but also male populance of their small Pilos. Or City State, where farmland, wilderness, and city met and made them a region where people lived. Many claimed he had received a blessing from Aphrodite, others said he was Adonis incarnate, and he only thought they were greatly exaggerating his facial features.
But no!
He had to run from home because, surprise, surprise! His face was enough to get the attention of the gods. "Become mine!" Apollo, God of the Sun, Archery, and many other things had come to him one morning, descending from the heavens in a fire chariot to bring him to Olympus where they would be married... But Aleus just stared into the blonde's eyes and said a simple word: "No." Before closing the door of his home in the face of the God of the Sun without hesitation. There was knocking once again, but he ignored it, turned to his parents, and said: "It has come the day that I've foreseen many years ago, my mother and father, I must leave." They cried and hugged him, at which point he just activated the spell he had worked hard to make - His Apotropaic magic was the ultimate protection magic, with enough preparation he can protect himself against anything! He spent three years working on a spell to turn away the Gods and their sight from him, which now was a good moment to see if it worked.
He activated his spell and left through the back door he made years ago. He had given instructions to his parents to open the door and tell Apollo he had run to Sparta and that he could find me on the way there. Which wasn't a lie, since Aleus was going to Sparta, since if he had to choose a God to have their eyes on him, he'd choose Ares.
Why? He's the only one likely not to rape him, kidnap him, or play tricks with him. He'd attack directly since that's his nature.
Apollo, God of Prophecies, was also able to see the future, and he saw Aleus getting to Sparta. He had laid eyes upon him. He had seen how good he looked, and he wanted him! He flew away on his chariot, knowing he'd find his beloved if he got to Sparta and waited there! Meanwhile, Aleus himself had changed his course of action - What? The future is always changing! To trick a God of Prophecies to believe in a future, you just gotta make that future immutable to them. He'll go to Sparta yes, but who said he'd stay there? Nobody!
[Protection of Scrying] was the name he gave the spell, because this gave him complete immunity if a God or anyone wanted to see where he was right now. Where will he be in the future? That's another spell that's still in the making.
-Scene Cut-
Ares, God of War. One of the strongest deities, feared by all and- HE'S FUCKING TRAPPED IN A JAR!
"HEY!" He screamed. "LET ME FUCKING LEAVE, YOU FUCKING BITCHES!" Some giants tried getting into Olympus, and as they were defending it, one of them took him and put him in this jar- It has been four months! "WHAT THE FUCK!? DAD!? HEY!? IS ANYONE OUT THERE!?" He was actually distressed, he thought that at any moment someone would get him out of here, but these chains and this bronze jar are fucking up with him! They were possibly made by magic because he tried using his divinity to break free but he wasn't able to, the more strength he tried to put on his muscles to break free from the chains, the harder it was to break them. He tried kicking the jar, but that also did not work because he couldn't do anything to it, so he resigned to try and scream for help. "AND I HAVE BEEN SCREAMING FOR FOUR MONTHS!" He was actually hurt that his family didn't come to find him! They must've noticed that he's gone, right? They noticed it, right? "DAD!? ATHENA!? APOLLO!? HEY! HERMES? APHRODITE BABY!? IT'D TAKE EVEN HEPHAESTUS RIGHT Now-…" His voice lowered as the lid of the jar was opened and he saw the light for the first time in four months!
"Uhm, hi." A handsome man's face was what greeted him. Immediately he knew this man was a mortal, although his divinity could sense a deep, deep anger within this man. One of his worshippers? Or is this the one guy named Adonis Aphrodite kept talking about a few years ago? "You're okay?" The man looked at his chained body and sighed softly before helping him, his hand glowed a soft yellow light reminiscent of Apollo's light and the chains crumbled unto themselves, turning to dust as he was freed. "C'mon, before they wake up-" The ground shook as the man looked a little bit worried, he cursed softly: "Zeus' beard." Before he pulled Ares and the jar with him, his strength was impressive for a mortal! "I hope this works!" He suddenly whispered a few words and stopped into a corner of the cavern, suddenly a small and thin filter of magic separated them and the rest of the cavern in their little corner. They could see and hear everything while in here, but something told him that nothing could leave that small thin veil of energy. "We're safe for now… I need to think of a way to get out of here." Ares reached out with his hand to touch the man when he walked away, slammed his hand on the rock, and with his blood he drew a few symbols that Ares didn't know the meaning of.
What? He's the God of WAR!
Not magic.
"Let's see if this works." A small thin veil appeared between the stone, and from there he could see grass, trees, and the sun! "It worked!" He grinned and Ares must admit, he looked very handsome, the most handsome mortal he has ever seen. "C'mon, let's leave." Taking the jar, the mortal dragged the jar even as Ares jumped out of said jar. "What're you gonna do with that jar?" Ares, curious as ever, couldn't help but ask- And the answer he got was not what he expected: "Because if a jar is strong enough to hold the God of War inside, then it is a jar worth keeping." He winked at him, and Ares felt embarrassed. What are you supposed to say to someone that has seen your most humiliating moment? "You know, if you want to repay me for saving you-" The man waved his hand towards the hole in space where they came from, and the hole closed. "-you can help me get to Sparta and avoid Apollo." Saying the name of the Gods is a taboo, for the moment you say it, that God can see you!
But here is a mortal that is not afraid of saying their name. "Very well, Mortal-" Ares stopped for a moment and asked: "What is your name?"
"My name is Aleus, it's nice to meet you, Ares, God of War." Aleus, what a beautiful name… Ares took his hand when he offered it and smiled, his teeth sharp and pointy. "Aleus, you're perfect." He looked bashful for a moment, and Ares felt like a predator stalking his prey- "I will be your guide to Sparta, my patron city." It's good that he's going to Sparta, he can name him a Champion of War and have him be one of his worshippers… "Tell me, Aleus, do you like war?"
"No, not really… I prefer peace, love, and crafting." Ares was momentarily stunned; "I much prefer spending my time making than destroying, like for example, making love." Ares grinned widely at how daring this mortal is! "And you, Ares? I know for sure you are a great lover, for the Goddess of Love herself seems to like you."
"Ah, Aphrodite… She's easy to fuck, easy to please, and she's one of the few ones who I like." Ares could not keep the growl out of his voice, it's been four months and they didn't even care that he was gone!? He called, he begged, he screamed and yet no one came for him! He was saved by a mortal- One of the most beautiful mortals he has ever seen, no wonder Apollo's after him. "And you… Only asking me to take you to Sparta? You must be easy to please as well." Aleus looked at him with his bright green eyes and Ares couldn't help but imagine those eyes full of tears as he fucked the life out of them. "I'm not easy to please, Mr. God of War…" He walked forward, and Ares stood back a little and he was glad he did because he saw the fattest ass of fat asses he has ever seen in his immortal life.
His ass was fatter than Aphrodite's!
Ares could not believe his eyes for a moment as he walked away- He grinned widely as he caught up to the mortal, a thought in mind.
He's gonna make him one of his most loyal servants.
