Hastur Harrington - Or rather, Hastur the Unfortunate was a prince. Born from a fair maiden with a powerful king, a king who was damned to fall, as were all his descendants... I mean, in this fic, he was now part of. He's a side villain that is supposed to appear in the third volume of the fic about How to Train your Dragon that this girl was writing but abandoned. Now, the world she created became a mess! I mean, she made a whole ass Crossover with Rise of the Guardians, How to Train your Dragon, Frozen, and Brave? That's something people do? "I mean, that's cool... Hiccup x Jack Frost? Huh, I didn't see that one coming." The who plot of the fic was that the world was in danger thanks to the rise of the powerful and dark Pitch Black, a demon that makes and feeds off of fear and nightmares, doninating the world from the shadows.
Jack Frost and his twin sister... Elsa, are chosen by the Spirits of Winter to protect their home from the powers of darkness, while Hiccup and his twin sister Merida go around training dragons. The fic started with the first movie, and the way the book described the events that happened in the fic, Jack and Elsa met with Hiccup and Merida halfway through the 3rd chapter of the fic, the remaining of the first followed them as they went through the series Dragons: Riders of Berk and Dragons: Defenders of Berk, the relationship between Hiccup and Jack progressing while the relationship between Merida and Else grew too. "I mean, it's kinda good." He kept reading a bit until he passed by some points, like how Dagur was locked away, Alvin the Treacherous died, Heather ran away, and pretty much almost everything from the plot of the series went the way it went through in the series too.
And by now, the fic was in the second volume.
Or would've been if the author hadn't dropped the fic! Because of this, the fate of this world naturally went back to what it was supposed to be, with Pitch Black growing stronger while the protagonists grew weaker and would, in the end, be defeated! 'Oh shit.' Reading the final words in the book, he paled - He was now but a secondary character that was supposed to be this heir to a throne of kings that were devoted to their land and magic... His character is corrupted by Pitch Black and ends up being consumed and turning into a monster, destined to forever be in constant agony and pain.
And hey, look, he is the guy now!
And why was he even a side villain? Well, apparently, he would appear the first time in the fic was by fighting and seriously hurting Hiccup, which makes Jack snap and use a lot of magic, which then weakens him to the point where Pitch is able to manipulate his mind enough to make the hero almost kill his own sister. "So I'm just a throwaway character?" Hastur groaned.
Fuck it. He has other things to do, like selecting his Subclass!
[Select your Druid Circle!
Circle of Dragons: Druids of the Circle of Dragons tend to spend much of their time either studying, or being in the company of, dragons. Although they lack the versatility of their Moon Circle brethren or the spellcasting abilities of their Land Circle brethren, Dragon Circle druids take the form of some of the most fearsome and dangerous foes known to man. As such, they are often more intuitive than their druid brethren, requiring intelligence for both communication with such powerful creatures and for casting draconic abilities while in that form.
Circle of Constellations: Druids who join the Circle of Constellations chart the movements of the heavens not just to determine their effect on the world below, but to observe how their forms reflect the ideals and patterns assigned to them. They meet to categorize groups of celestial bodies into forms.
Circle of Roots: Druids from the circle of roots are the shepherds of trees, using their connection with nature to protect verdant areas, such as forest and woodlands from destruction brought up by natural wildfires, magical corruption or expansion of civilization. Members of this circle can awaken the vines and roots of the plants around them, giving them movement, using their power to drive off invaders of their sylvan sanctums. When members of this circle are encountered outside a ancient natural area, they are dedicated to the purpose of expanding the natural territory, by reforesting devastated areas, cultivating gigantic gardens and bringing the green wild to urban territories, infusing gray and dead cities with new life.
Circle of Rage: Druids of the Circle of Rage are enforcer's of nature's wrath. Their order is typically seen during times of monster outbreaks. Many believe they unleash these outbreaks as punishment for abusing natural resources. They haunt the deepest parts of the wilderness, where they might go for weeks on end before crossing paths with another humanoid creature, let alone another druid. Some druids join the Circle of Rage out of hatred for the civilized world. They could have been betrayed by a loved one, cheated by someone in a position of power, etc. They often only find comfort in the presence of nature alone and become aggressive when other humanoids approach, sometimes towards other druids.
Circle of the Beast: This is a subclass for the Druid class. Some Druids feel a stronger connection to the primal and wild side of nature forgoing most weapons for more features and improved wild shape and armor for greater senses. As a result of your dedication, nature has granted you an animal companion as well as features from the circles of the Land and Moon.

"Oh damn, so many!" He saw so many options that he couldn't help but blink - The first one was almost too good considering he was going to he surrounded by dragons and magic and other shit... Now, his major objectives have changed. If he wants to live, he needs to get more power against the forces of the darkness that the Pitch is gathering at this exact moment! 'According to that book, the Race to the Edge part just started, so I can still change the plot...' Essentially, not a lot changed from the original plot, except a few key plot points from the 3rd and 2nd movie of the franchise, like how Valka was Elsa's and Jack's teacher before they got to Berk, and through a lot of misunderstanding, miscommunication, and lack of communication, they have yet to know that Valka is Hiccup's mother and she doesn't know about Berk changing and having peace with dragons for 4 years now.
'So I need to choose the Subclass that's going to help me change the plot...' He thought for a second and decided on a subclass that could help him.
[Circle of the Dragonshifter:
The path of sorcery isn't the only way to attain control over one's draconic ancestry. There is another, albeit more ancient way. Those of dragon's blood following the way of nature can unleash their power in ways considered heretical by their druidic brethren, but nonetheless, this strength can be a force to behold.]

His arsenal was growing steadily, but it seemed so little compared to what that beast of nightmares could become - The book gave him insight of the future, a future he wants to avoid at all costs. The world will fall in eternal darkness, darkness that will consume so many lives that the entire plant would become devoid of all life! And, sadly for him, he lives in this planet!
