"Is nice to meet you all, my name is Vahrus Verisimil and i am your professor at Planar Magic. Now, albeit this magic being a older and relatively new type of magic that i decided to teach you humans, i must say that this is going to be a dangerous and exciting class as all classes are here in Hogwarts. In the Potion class you may boil yourself alive if you are not careful, and I'm sure the professor will boil you himself if you make a mistake." Snickering, a average-sized, white soft-skinned man spoke with a rather snarky tone, his long flowy silver hair was very beautiful as was his green eyes, his pointy ears were an attraction to the children who had grown surrounded by humans and had never seen a Fey. Yes, Vahrus Verisimil is a Fey from the house of Verisimil, from the Summer Court of the Feywild and a Planar Traveler and experienced traveler among the realms of existence.
One secret is that Vahrus Verisimil is a reincarnated individual who was granted a minor gift compared to all those overpowered reincarnated individuals in all those novels he read when he was in his past life, well, three small gifts really. He could learn other languages faster and he had a great talent for two types of magic, Space and Healing magic. They were the only ones he could use easily without any form of focus like these humans need, as a Fey, he naturally has a great affinity for Illusion magic as well! Though he preferred Abjuration and Conjuration magic... Oh, getting off track here. After being alive for two hundred years and earning the title of Plane Wanderer, meeting the God of Travel Meriavir and getting his blessing, Vahrus was sent by the Queen of the Summer Court in a royal mission: Teach children and spread his influence.
He was granted another title, Plane Traveler of the Summer Court, a fairly new and useless title for him that he didn't like... Albeit others knew that new titles being created for someone specific was rare and absolutely important, because it showed how the Queen cared about the individual that received the title. Vahrus of course knew it, but he didn't like the title because he also suggested for it to be "Wanderer of the Summer Court" but nooo! Anyway, the older you get, the pettier you get as well... Give it 10 years and he'll forget it.
So, Vahrus Verisimil, Plane Wanderer, Chosen of the Traveler God Meriavir, and Plane Traveler of the Summer Court was now the new teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, his appearance caused a lot of talk but he was already known to this world since he wandered around a lot... "Now, if you wish to leave this class, the door is there." He pointed at the door at the corner of the room, all students of the 2nd Year from the Houses of Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw just looked forward as Vahrus chuckled and raised his hand from his long green sleeves from his regal long green and yellow robe as sparks danced around his fingers and the whole classroom changed. "Now that the classroom is to my liking, I'm going to say a few words... In this class you'll see the unimaginable, the unforgiving, and the unsettling of worlds beyond your wits and minds... I'll show you, however, only four realms. They are the Elemental Plane of Air also known by the natives as the Boundless Blue, the Elemental Plane of Water which is also known as the Relentless Deep by the natives, the Feywild my dear home realm, and at last but not least, the Ethereal Plane... We will learn all about these planes along my years teaching at Hogwarts, they are the quote on quote... safest realms to visit, since every realm can and will kill you if you are dumb enough to let it. We will learn about Elementals and other magical creatures out of this plane of existence, and will visit two of said planes."
Pausing, Vahrus said: "Now I must say... I'll not teach you how to break the tether between dimensions, that is something you'll learn only on your 6th year, no no no... I'll teach you languages, places, and even history of planes. Welcome to one of the most boring but most exciting class of this school. The class of Planar Magic." Finishing his speech, Vahrus sighed and turned around to observe the classroom, they were now in a pocket Demiplane, a simple one he created inside the classroom and had complete control over. "Now let's get started... Open your books on page 3, Introduction to Planes of Existence." All students opened their books in wonder as Vahrus went on to talk about the Planes of Existence. His smile was beautiful due to his Fey nature, he was more beautiful than a Veela! "Now, there are many planes, but they can categorized into Four categories: Inner Planes, Outer Planes, Demiplanes, and Semi-Planes. A good example of Inner Planes are the Elemental Planes of Air, Water, Earth, and Fire, as well as the Feywild and the Shadowfell..."
Illusory images appeared around, he did not use the chalkboard to write but used Illusions to show them the image of the planet earth and four spheres around the planet, with two semi-circles that completed each other around the earth, each had a name written on it. The red sphere was the Elemental Plane of Fire, the white sphere was the Elemental Plane of Air, the dark blue sphere was the Elemental Plane of Water, and the brown one was the Elemental Plane of Earth. There were four other spheres, but they stood between the elemental planes, they were the Sub-Elemental Plane of Ice, the Sub-Elemental Plane of Smoke, the Sub-Elemental Plane of Magma, also known as the River of Fire, and the Sub-Elemental Plane of Minerals. The first semi-circle around the center sphere, that by the way was called Material Plane, was a dark and gloomy one, called Shadowfell, while the light green and glowing semi-circle was the Feywild. A faint mist began to surround all spheres and never touched them, making an white sea as the islands were the planes.
Finally, Vahrus spoke: "These are the Inner Planes, you can see them, oh, i forgot to add... This white mist is also a plane, the Ethereal Plane. There are two planes, the Ethereal Plane and the Deep Ethereal Plane... Be cautious and careful when playing with these, is quite easy to get lost within the Ethereal Plane. Now, this is what we're going to study in this all my classes. Each and every one of these planes has life, sentience, souls, and emotion... Let's begin the lecture, we will focus on one plane for the rest of this year... The Elemental Plane of Air, the Boundless Blue."
Soon, his lecture continued, and his students were mesmerized at him and at what he taught. It was incredible seeing the professor summon a gust of air with sentience, albeit small one, but he warned them that within their home planes, Elementals as they were called, are smarter and stronger than any others. The class ended with the professor telling them to read their books, which he himself wrote, pages 39 till 42, about the Elemental Plane of Air.
"Huh... Next is the 3th year with Gryffindor and Slytherin? Okay." Vahrus whispered as he cursed, mixing his curses in Infernal, Abyssal, Sylvian, Elvish, Primordial, Deep Speech, Celestial, Common, Undercommon, and Draconic. His 4th year students entered the classroom with wonder as they passed through a doorway and were inside a forest instantly... And their teacher was speaking a strange language with roars and growls as well. "Oh, i see you've arrived... My name's Vahrus Verisimil and I'll be your Planar Magic teacher... For you, 3rd years, I will be teaching the same thing I'll be teaching the fifth and sixth years, as well as the seventh year can't forget them... Open your books at page 3."
And he repeated his lecture, showing the map of the Inner Planes that they'll learn about, and even visit one!
"Professor!" A bubbly bushy-haired girl of the Gryffindor house raised her arm in the end of Vahrus' speech, the same one he gave the third year students, looking at the excitement of the girl, Vahrus smiled gently and asked: "Yes? Miss...?" The girl continued: "Granger, Hermione Granger, Professor i have a question if you wouldn't mind answering it... This classroom, why is it so different? Is it a Demiplane or simply a highly powerful Illusion?" Vahrus smiled, raising an eyebrow at the question and chuckling: "I see someone's excited to learn and read ahead... Yes Miss Granger, this is a Demiplane, the door was the portal you all took to enter this Demiplane, and will only leave when the class is released." It was only then did they notice the door to leave was nowhere to be seen. "And before you ask... This is something way above what I'll teach you here in this classroom... Hum... What about i teach you something different...? We will see about the Elemental Plane of Air later, open your books at page 69 please."
As they did so, the surround began to fill with a thin fog when close, but far away there were thick clouds of different colors and energies that clouded their vision, thousands of little fogs appeared all around as Vahrus emulated the Astral Plane. "This is an emulation of the Deep Ethereal Plane, a plane of pure probability." Soon, he began lecturing about the Deep Ethereal and Shallow Ethereal Planes and their differences. "The Shallow Ethereal is full of this thin fog, as well as Aparations and Undead Spirits, such as Ghosts, Banshees, and Screamers. Now, when inside the Ethereal Plane, you are completely invisible to the Material Plane." Soon a map of the Inner Planes appeared in their books as Vahrus willed it to, earlier he was just showing off to the kids. "But the Deep Ethereal is... Confusing. Time is relative and you need to use your will to move, since there is no gravity inside that realm, you can use the Deep Ethereal to enter the others Inner Planes as well, but i don't recommend since you need to know your way and know where you're going to successfully find a portal to one of the Inner Planes there, or else you'll just be there... Forever. Well, until you die of starvation of course, albeit dehydration would happen first."
Another hand was raised, same girl, Vahrus smiled and nodded to her as he asked: "Yes, Miss Granger?" The girl smiled, then asked a question that they all were wondering about: "Professor, can you wander the Deep Ethereal without getting lost? If so, how many Planes of existence have you gone to!?" Her excitement about learning a new type of magic was clear, Vahrus sighed and snapped his fingers making the map of the Inner Planes appear, soon 16 other spheres appeared and surrounded the map of the Inner Planes at a long distance... Four lines, two above and one to the right and left, with Lawful and Chaotic on right and left respectively, and Good and Evil on top and bottom respectively.
"I've been to many, many planes, Miss Granger... Gehena, Hades, Purgatorium, The Nine Hells, the Abyss, Mount Celestia, and even the great city of Sigil in the Outer Lands, and i can tell you... They are all deadly and dangerous. I almost died several times inside these dimensions, specially inside the Abyss and Hades, these were awful places full of evil creatures, but i've also met Gods and Goddesses, Demons and Monsters, and I've seen a lot... And i can say that, certainly, i haven't seen everything that there is to see. I'm here to open your eyes to the world and show you how big this life is... So please, if you have a question, ask it. It's my literal job to answer questions and help you all."
