As Kazuma was sitting on a wooden bench, he looked at his smartphone and checked the data. Sighing, he looked at the stars.
"I wish this war was to end." He said as one of the female members of the squad cuddled at him, making him blush. "Me too, buddy. Me too. Everyone wants it to end. Damn Chinese. They only invade because the Yankees were here." Defeatism, common among the JSDF troops as the year progressed, China slowly remained focused on taking out the JSDF command and the organized guerilla resistance of the army, that focused on fighting with small groups that are independently making their moves, as the fleet withdrew to the US coast.
"Damn, Wait. What is today?" He asked as he looked at the calendar.
"Damn. 24th December and we are still here, instead of celebrating Christmas. I wish this war was ending."
He said as at the same time an alien ship appeared in a shape of a flatted-out triangle, and the meteor rain started.
"Look, shooting stars!" As one of the guys noticed the rain, he also noticed another thing, that made Kazuma worried. The ship remained unnoticed by the ground troops to the moment when one of the supposed meteors was falling down.
"Run, Run! Out of the meteor's way!" Kazuma yelled as he grabbed the girl's hand and pulled her with him, as the troopers under his command moved behind the trees and other points considered safe in such a situation. What surprised them, was the drop pod, that was shaped like a rounded triangle hat, as it opened the doors, making the creatures exit the pod, with railgun rifles, that resembles modern automatic rifles, but instead of a regular barrel, they have magnetic ones, and one of them have a display of charges left for the rail gun.
"Commander, nothing here." One of the creatures said as the lizard put down the helmet.
"Cleaner air, than the atmospheric radar said. Much cleaner." He approached the commander and looked around as he noticed somebody behind the tree. The idiot soldier decided to rub his hands against one another in excitement.
"Ah, Aliens! Welcome to earth, I hope your visit is peaceful?" He asks one of the two-meter lizards as they apparently speak English.
"We learned human languages for espionage, not to listen to this. Commander if I may." He says as he pulls out the rail pistol that is similar in shape to a Deagle and aims at the trooper, who gets scared.
"Human, let me remind you, we are not coming in peace." One of the lizards got angry. "You moron, look. We can get them conquered themselves."
"Are you seriously going to argue about donating their technology? Check the area for hostile activity. This looks like a soldier." He looks at the human in JSDF-issued uniform.
"Reptiles. Damn, and I thought aliens are a conspiracy theory. Hah." Kazuma said as he went out with a gun aimed at him with a bayonet attached as he circled around the lizards, as the still lit fireplace gave out the tense atmosphere of the meeting, not to mention the towering aliens.
"Hmmm… Really? Somebody was visiting your planet then? Probably scout team." Commander said as one of the privates in the lizard squad sighed. "Dude, we are here not to be hostile per the decree of galactic federation. It is still a Preservation Zone. Until they will develop the warp drive…" Kazuma heard the discussion. "Hmm Warp drive, no. But I heard Yankees want to deploy Quantum Bomb that weaponizes Alquebierre Drive."
Lizards looked at the human. "What?"
"Well, that is how we got the atom power. By using it as a weapon. Of course, we were on the receiving end of the blast but whatever." Kazuma said as he noticed how nervous the soldiers were as one of the jeeps approached the area, loading 50 cal and aiming at the lizards.
"And this hostile welcoming?" He asked as he looked at the surroundings. "We have war. With China."
Lizards smirked. "Well then, consider this a peaceful intervention, human. What is your name."
"Lieutenant Takayama Kazuma of the JSDF. I serve the Emperor and his Army."
"Self-defense force huh?" Lizards laughed as they heard that name. "And you are still a monarchy? Whatever. Well.. We will help you drive out your enemy if your leader… Will allow us to rule."
Lizard commander said as he made them all show a thumbs down, as a sign of disapproval.
"Nah, sorry. We rule ourselves." Lizards sighed again as they looked at the commander. Humans in JSDF were 25. Lizards 7, but they were equipped in full body armor and only the head was not fully protected against bullets.
Hinata looks at everything. "So it happened because I said no?" Anna looked at Hinata and observed the events with Yuki and made them actually interested in this like in some science fiction movie.
"Yea. Of course, later Lizards got the beating from you and the galactic state for attacking a sovereign world, but… Whatever."
Girls continued to watch the events display, as the man through which Hinata looks at them, makes his move.
"Sorry big reptiles. Nah. We do not like being ruled by not our own." Lizard sighed a she looked at his commander. "Is Galactic Concordat of Sirius still in effect here?" Kazuma got puzzled. "Galactic Concordat or Geneva Convention?"
Commander smirked. "You mean Galactic Suggestion? I do not think so. But, if we kill them we do not have to report that."
"And how about the camera feed?"
"Right, Anyway. We cannot act unless.. We get hit first." Lizards were towering 2 meters, high creatures, with a commander being high as 2 meters, 40 centimeters. They all pointed their guns at each other as the moments were tenser. Kazuma was thinking about what to do.
"So, you still must abide by Geneva Suggestion?" Kazuma got the lizard interested. "And what is that?"
"Well." Kazuma cleared up his throat. "That is a treaty that outlines what or what not to use and do in the war and the legal definition of a war crime. My favorite checklist to be honest."
"Hahaha, I like that human. That is the same thing with Galactic Concordat of Sirius Prime. But it got far wider applications than you think."
Kazuma sighed. "All right one thing did you came here to preserve our species or conquer."
Lizards smirked. "We came to liberate you, Humans." Kazuma looked at the soldiers as they were scanning the area. "Well, that sounds like an American excuse to go to war."
Lizard commander approached him and kneeled before the human commander. "Really? And what is the real reason before the invasion?"
"Um, Oil?" Lizard's eyes if they were made in a cartoon style, could turn into a credit sign. "Guys these people are terrorists."
"Wait, what!?" Kazuma asks as he looks at the alien and backs down, aiming at him. "The Humans have weapons of mass destruction far worse than primitive nuclear weapons that they would use against invaders. They have weapons that if used, can destroy entire worlds. Relay that to the ship commander. Time for us to deliver freedom and recover the teleporting bombs."
"Fuck, space Yankees are lizards! Sounds like an anime title but come on!" One of the soldiers says as he listens to what the commander said as they proceed to attack them, and started firing their railguns. "For freedom."
Lizards smirked as they started firing at the armored vehicle and the troopers, which managed to take down two of seven lizards in the squad.
Hinata is genuinely surprised, as she looks at Anna. "Seriously? He got encouraged to fight because I said Oil?! This is like a fucking meme!"
The memory browsing section ends, as they show up in their inner world. "So, Master.. You were a soldier before?"
"Seems like it, Yuki." She said as she now sat on one of the motherboard benches and had to think of it. "We end the browsing session for today, Anna."
"You sure do not want to see more?" She asks as she looks at disappointed Hinata. "No. I am disappointed and my positive expectations are ruined."
Anna sighs as she gets out of her inner world, disappearing one by one as if somebody erased her. Then, the entire inner world started to be covered by the white light as Hinata is woken up in the normal world.
"Damn. That was surprising." She said with disappointment in her voice, as she approached Lelouch, and noticed Anna that put on her clothes and dressed up. "What was disappointing, that aliens were peaceful?" Anna asked as she looked at Hinata.
"At least that they would not be greedy." Hinata said in disappointment as she cuddled Lelouch. "Oil.. Everything spins around oil, even in space." Lelouch looks at anna confused. "What?" Anna asks as she lifts her shoulders up, not sure what to answer. "I do not know what to tell you. You would have to watch that memory once more with us."
"Understandable. Come on, Hinata it might have a good ending." Lelouch tried to lift up her spirits but what she found out about the past life, was not what she expected.
"Maybe. But I am not sure if I want to watch my past life anymore." She says as she just remains and cuddles, making Lelouch get her closer, patting her head. "It will be fine. Want to go somewhere?"
"You have a plan on this or something?" She asks as she definitely wants to just rest. "Or we can just rest at your place." He says, kissing her forehead, getting her cuddled for a moment. Hinata got out of the hug after few minutes and opened a portal to her home. "You going?"
Lelouch nodded as he crossed through it, and waited for Hinata to get out from the portal in her home. When that happens, Hinata just falls down on the bed instantly and falls asleep as she is.
"Damn, girl. That is what I did not expect from you." Lelouch said as he stripped down naked, moved downstairs to see if there is somebody who he wishes to spend some more time with, as he wanders around.
