Chapter 1 - The Expeditionary Force

The boat rocked gently as the sailors and soldiers loaded it with supplies. Sidgur leaned against a few crates watching the ship loaded with supplies. He sighed as he gripped the pommel of his sword. It hurt him to leave his home, but the Emperor assigned the task of locating the fugitives to his team. The fugitives who killed the grand wizard Nazzar and escaped. Hundreds of lands they could have fled to, and they were being sent to one that has the most promise. Some shit hole called Jaska. Apparently a scout received word of two powerful foreigners migrating to this land and reside in a City named Eldsong.

"Making sure we get all our supplies?" a woman's voice from behind Sidgur. He sighed and turned slightly to catch a glimpse of the bubbly elf sorcerer.

"Always, that and waiting for you all to show up. where's Tomas and Warrick?" Sidgur turned his attention back to the whip as he spoke.

"They're in their way now. Tomas demanded stopping by the temple to pick up additional supplies he knew the Legion wouldn't supply us." The girl smiled as she began skipping up the ramp and onto the ship. "Hurry Sidgur, we should claim some good bunks before the rest of the crew gets their chance!"

Sidgur sighed. Nami was always so eager and rushed things. He then began taking strides following the elf onto the ship. If she were to cause trouble for the crew, it would be him getting chewed out, not her. Making his way to the main hull, bunks lined each side of the ship. Nami was carefully inspecting each bunk for a good spot for her. Sidgur elected for the nearest one to the stairs leading topside. It wasn't long after that the dwarf, Tomas, and the beast-person, Warrick, made their way into the hull as well.

"Well well well," The small statured dwarf bellowed in his usual fashion, "looks like we were a little late. Apologies, had to speak with Lord Bonvian before we left." The two found bunks near Sidgur and began arranging their belongings. Sidgur looked among his wayward companions sighing. He pulled a small parchment out of his pouch looking at the faces. Two villainous half-elves who had the balls to not only betray the Ashun Empire, but kill the mage who guided them. One named ironically, The Living Saint, the other, The Truespeaker. Despite his history with the Living Saint, Sidgur was determined to find him, and help bring him to justice.
