Sam was joking when she recited the incantation that caused the Wells clan's wings to appear.
He felt her back was itchy for some reason, much to her astonishment.
When she tried to touch it, her body exploded in excruciating pain.
"F*ck! Why! It's too painful!" Sam can't stop complaining about how much agony she's in.
She had no idea at the time that she had made a mistake by reading the spell Wells Clan aloud. That may be why she felt pain to the core of her existence.
She thought she was going to die as a result of the agony she was going through. The agony came and went as quickly as it arrived.
Sam felt as if she were flying through the air.

When Sam opened her eyes, she was startled to see a shadow of massive wings.
"What kind of bird has such massive wings?" It appears to be the Wells Clan's wings." Sam stated
Finally, Sam recognized that she could feel the ground and looked down, realizing that she had been floating in the for a few minutes.
