Calvin and Maria had been hiding from his family for a week now, and Calvin got more anxious for every day that went by. He had degraded his father and betrayed him by sharing information with Mr. Wyatt. The man had kindly left them to stay at his house, and Mr. Wyatt promised to get Intel to Calvin's mom.
The information Calvin shared could send his entire family to prison for life.
"Calvin, look at me. You are not going to jail. How could you? You have no part in your family's business, and even so, you can easily take a plea deal if it comes to it." Maria grabbed Calvin's hands and searched for his eyes. "Baby, look at me," she mumbled, and Calvin glanced up. "I love you, and I am so proud of you. You're nothing like your dad, Calvin." But even though Calvin heard every word she said, they didn't calm him down like they used to.
"But my mother?" Calvin whispered, "I know. But would he harm her?" replied Maria, and Calvin started sobbing. "Yes. His crazy, Maria. What if he kills her?" Calvin kneeled with a grasp for air. "
Calvin breathed calmly," Maria begged, fearing a further panic attack. But Calvin struggles for air and then starts hyperventilating before passing out.

Mr. Wraith was on the warpath. His son ran away, and he had his wife locked up in the bedroom, and Mallory was still nowhere to be found. Mr. Wyatt was incompetent, and Redford was lying on the beach enjoying life. That prick. Mr. Wraith puts on his coat and heads downtown for a drink with his father before they have an event later that night.

Mrs. Wraith crawled up in the corner of the room and rocked her body back and forth. She was injured and realized that this was the only way to deal with the pain: by staying in the slow movement.
Her husband had done her significant damage the day Calvin escaped. But she'd get beaten again if it meant Calvin would be safe. But she didn't expect to be locked up for days. It was wrong and resentful of Mr. Wraith. But he needed to implement his obsession with power and to feel superior.

Hunter was devastated. Mallory was still crying hours after Maddie intruded on the house. He wondered what had happened before he arrived, but Mallory was silent and refused to talk to him.
"I'm sorry, Mallory," Hunter said for the 10th time, "Why? You didn't do anything," Mallory replied with a shaky voice, "What did Maddie say? What did she do?" Hunter asked, and Mallory took a deep breath.
"She called me ugly and hideous and pushed me to the ground." She whispered, and Hunter sighed.
"You are none of the above, Mallory. You're beautiful. " Hunter whispered, and Mallory's eyes widened. "What? What did you call me? " Shit. Hunter knew he should have kept quiet. "Yeah. You're a cute girl, Mallory. Don't listen to her," Hunter added, a little more casually, and walked out to the kitchen.
He can't think of her as beautiful. The deception was not an option. Mallory needed clarity and a friendly tone because keeping his emotions in line around her was hard.
And he was so attracted to her; it made him sick.
"What's up?" Blade shouted in the hallway. "Blade!" Mallory called back, and Hunter saw how she hugged him, and he was instantly annoyed. "Hey, Mall! You look good! how do you feel?" Blade asked, and they began to chat. Hunter noticed that Mallory laughed more than usual and spun her hair around her finger when talking with Blade.

Maddie sat in a bar and poured alcohol down her throat. She was upset, sad, and jealous. Hunter was her man, not that little girl's. The more she thought about her, the madder she was. The girl looked like a child. What was her name again... Mallory! Yeah. Maddie remembers. Why did Hunter have a child living at his place? A child who resembled a horrible accident. Mallory shuddered at the thought of Hunter being with that bit of carrot. She appeared to be 15, and that would be illegal. Gross!
Maddie dropped her head in her hand. She needed to do something about this. She and Hunter belonged together, and he needed to see that.
But this girl was in the way. She saw how he hung on to her.
"One more!" Maddie shouted and pointed to her drink. "Hit me, Louis!" She demanded, and the barman looked up. "I'm Erik, and I think you had enough!" He replied, and Maddie molded. "I told you one more!"
"This is your last," Erik muttered, pouring her another shot.
"We will see about that! Stupid Mallory," Maddie whistled and took the shot in one gulp.
"Sorry, did I hear you say Mallory?" A man asked Maddie, and she turned around and faced him.
"Yes, who are you?" Maddie replied, a little annoyed. Mr. Wraith straightened up and reached out to Maddie. "I'm Mr. hmmm, Smith, and I am looking for a Mallory. Is she a red-haired girl, perheps?" He answered, and Maddie smiled. "Yes, curly red hair. She looks young and has a scar on her face!"
"Yes! That's my girl. She ran off last week, and I lost my mind with worries!" Mr. Wraith responded, knowing that he would get to her soon.
