A woman of above average height, pale warm fair skin, and brown honey eyes, stands looking like a deer caught in headlights. Her red and blonde hair moves like a wave as she snaps her head around to realise something. The woman's face falls and she begins to look around worriedly.
To understand what's happening we have to go back to when I, said woman, broke my own rules as well as a highly strict rule of the major logistics company Levitt's Logistical, the company I work for. In the beginning, working with my handsome, exceptionally fair, and strongly attractive boss was easy I just couldn't look at him for too long or look straight into his soulful soft brown eyes, or at his tussle worthy soft feathery chocolate bronze hair, nor could I resist his constantly stable fair and kind personality.
I worked for this man for a year but only worked directly went six months under the man's instruction and managed to keep myself from looking more into him. His name is Kieran De Janko he is taller than me by a full half foot but not in a menacing towering way, he has a smile that stuns and charisma that is unmatched. 'Why is he so good?' I remember asking myself. I kept myself out of his path to not draw any attention to myself and tried to work hard.
Then one day Kieran offered to take the team to lunch to thank the team for shaking up his department and getting it into optimal shape before we returned to Head Quarters. This began a terrible but delightful break of my personal rules and that of the rule of Levitt's Logistical. I agree to attend the lunch with him under the impression that the team would be present at said lunch.
I went to the agreed meeting place dressed in my almost Sunday best. I wear a hi lo light cherry blossom dress with lace that has notes of blue and details of a precious lavender. I wear a pair of sharp heels good for self defense and also doesn't add to my height too much. My outfit just misses work parameters and the dress feels light soft and airy on my body. When I arrive, I'm late to the agreed meeting time. At the location I'm shocked to only see Hiero, I think the other's must've bailed on him instead of waiting for me.
Upon seeing Kieran by himself, I didn't bother to ask where everyone else was at and assume they'd gone to the restaurant already and were just waiting on us to join them. When we go to enter the restaurant we see one of our co-workers a fellow Junior Agent responsible for the companys representation and distribution logo and then Kieran takes my hand and says "We gotta hide... let's hide in my car,". He leads me to his car and when Kieran thinks that our coworker didn't notice us he turns the car on.
"Are we going to go inside or are we going to go somewhere else?" I ask without hesitation and even kind of excitement, I begin to think that Kieran has other plans, and I'm all game, other than a team lunch gathering.
Kieran looks at me with a smile and we go to another restaurant. In my mind though I can't help but wonder where was the rest of our team? If we were going to celebrate the reorganization of the store done by the team shouldn't everyone who is a part of the team be present?
Upon entering the new restaurant my thoughts are drowned out by my excitement and worry. We are greeted by one server who takes us to a private banquet hall. B ew for the doors open I silently wish if the Team is there that they'll be in another room and I selfishly wish that we'll be by ourselves.
When we're seated Kieran tells the server, "Serve us the Janko special and thank you,". I observe Kieran while I contemplate whether or not I can survive a lunch of such a private setting. Even the part of me that wants this to be a date, I question myself due to how much I want it to be because it astounds me that I have such a lack of personal control. My mind is uncertain of whether or not I would be able to resist his charm with the current situation, and I try to keep my head and mind in check.
The food was served and the drinks were poured to the brim. I didn't begin to eat until Kieran begins to stare into my eyes making me gulp and casting my glance aside.
"Boss, looks can kill," I chide.
