The bartender, Richard, struggled to hide his fear especially when some of the other people on standby started approaching his position.
He gulped as sweats started running down his forehead. It was already suffocating just to look into the little kid's eyes… but now, there were two more pair of eyes to look at. Richard felt like he was being watched by the darkness or the underworld with those eyes.
His fingers flinched and trembled as he moved his eyes downward, avoiding their gazes.
He's working at a nightclub, so he was used to meeting dangerous people. And every time he meets one, he always managed to keep his composure and serve them the best drinks he could serve because of the fact that he knew he was safe as long as he's at work.
He was an employee of the place, so it's safe to say that he was a protected person. But now, he was nowhere near that place…
He was away from his safe zone, and that fact is now slowly breaking his defense.
