"Ding-Dong.", The airplane's intercom suddenly spread out through the entire cabin. Those who were awake perked their ears while those who were sleeping continued to sleep.
"This is your flight captain speaking. We will begin our landing process in just a few short moments. We are roughly twenty minutes away from touching down in Viridian City. If you all look out your left, you will be able to get a good view of Mt. Silver as the sun begins its descent. It really is a breathtaking view, so I highly recommend taking a moment to look out the window. We will also put the seatbelt signs back on. If you need to use the restroom, now is the time to do so.", The flight captain said.
Thankfully Ricky was already awake as the flight captain said that to everyone. After he had a bit of fun with Lillie, the food service began halfway through the flight. Turns out one of the dishes was buttered lobster. He was hesitant to get it, but he was in first-class, so why not? And boy was he glad that he chose it. Compliments to the chef!
Lillie went with something more classic, and ordered a steak. They were even serving steak in first-class! It wasn't anything fancy like wagyu steak Ricky found out about in his past life, but there were equivalents to wagyu steak here in the Pokemon World. Most farm-type animals existed, and were used for common consumption. There were Pokemon-added specialties like Moo-Moo Milk, but it really depended on what a Pokemon could do.
Ricky had no interest in eating Pokemon, though. He was really glad that the common farm animal exists here. He didn't have to worry about such a touchy subject.
"Mmm...", Lillie uttered as her mind woke up again. She slowly opened her eyes, and saw the cabin lights were lighting up again. "Is the flight over already? That was a really good nap.", Lillie yawned, raising her head from Ricky's shoulder. She had to admit, Ricky's shoulder acted as a good pillow.
"We'll be landing soon. The flight captain just finished speaking. Why don't you take a look out the window?", Ricky suggested. He had already seen Mt. Silver plenty of times. Mt. Silver connected the Kanto Region to the Johto Region, and there was a train express that crossed through there directly. But right now, that wasn't where Ricky's interest lay. It was the particular long and stretchy tunnel that rested inside of Mt. Silver. Victory Road!
The same Victory Road that eventually led up to where the Indigo League was hosted, once per year!
"Waah...", Lillie uttered in shock, seeing the land of Kanto beneath her. Grasslands and forests stretched onward for miles without end. Directly below them was a giant mountain cascading across the left side of the land beneath them. Lillie had to lean forward to see such gorgeous scenery. Ricky paid it no mind that part of her breasts was pushing up against him.
Lillie could even see a stadium-size arena if she had a close look, deep within the mountains in the back! It wasn't just Mt. Silver either. A large mountain with a giant crater-like hole in its center could also be seen to the right. These two mountains were relatively close to each other.
"So that's Mt. Silver. And this second mountain is Mt. Moon?", Lillie questioned Ricky.
"That's right. We won't be able to trek Mt. Silver until we complete Kanto's Gym Challenge. That's where Victory Road and the Indigo League are. Mt. Moon, on the other hand, we'll be able to get a close-up of it quite early on. All we need to do is head past Pewter City, which is the second city after Pallet Town. There will be plenty of Pokemon for us to catch inside of it. You might even come across those Clefairy you really like.", Ricky explained.
"A Clefairy...", Lillie uttered. Lillie herself was an avid collector of Pokemon plushies, and she owned a Clefairy doll. It was one of her most prized possessions for that matter. She even brought it with her on this flight!
"That'll be up to your luck, Lillie. Clefairy are quite rare and only hide in the depths of Mt. Moon. I'll try to make it so we have enough time to try and find one.", Ricky said.
"I'd like that.", Lillie nodded. She smiled at him. All of a sudden, the two felt a shift in the airplane, and realized they were now flying downwards. A large city was rapidly approaching their view. It was many times larger than where her villa was situated at Hau'oli City!
"And this must be Viridian City...", Lillie said.
"It sure is. Looks like we'll be landing in just a couple of moments. The plane can jerk a bit while landing, so go back to your seat, alright?", Ricky asked.
"Okay.", Lillie nodded, and returned to her own seat. It was a shame, as Ricky was already beginning to enjoy the warm feeling Lillie's body released as she pressed it against his.
Thankfully, because of the little fun the two shared earlier in the flight, Ricky didn't receive a response from down below. He just observed Lillie returning to her seat.
Ricky took a moment to get his own Pokedex out to check the time. It now read 550PM. The airplane had already made its way into the Kanto Region, but he only had ten minutes left until they landed. The champagne did its magic, making Ricky and Lillie sleepy right off the bat. They were able to snooze most of the flight away, apart from their meal that they enjoyed. Lillie went back to sleep after enjoying her meal while Ricky stayed up for the rest of the flight.
Both Snowy and Amber were now awake too. Amber was enjoying a moment with Snowy. She was currently grooming Snowy's fur with her tongue. Ricky only thought dogs and cats groomed their fur like that, but it looks like foxes also liked to do that too.
As these last ten minutes passed by, the airplane was greeted with a jolt, successfully touching down on the landing strip. Letting the plane do its taxing, Ricky stretched his body, making sure that any mess that was made was cleaned up. He certainly didn't want to leave any of that evidence behind.
"I almost forgot. You really haven't flown on many planes before, have you, Lillie?", Ricky asked.
"Unfortunately, no. I only did it when my mother was present. It's only been a handful of times. It has been several years since I had last taken a flight due to everything that happened to me. I almost forgot how they worked!", Lillie replied.
"Haha, well this definitely won't be our last flight. We might take one or two shorter flights across the Kanto Region, depending on where to go. Getting tickets for a cruise ship is not a bad second option. There's a ferry that goes from Pallet Town to Cinnabar Island. The only way to reach the seventh gym is by flying there or surfing its waters.", Ricky explained.
"A cruise ship?", Lillie asked. Her eyes lit up at the suggestion.
"It's an option for sure. We could just simply fly over the waters if we have good Pokemon by then.", Ricky wondered himself.
As he said that, the airplane came to a complete halt, arriving at its arrival gate. They were now in Kanto!
Ricky saw Amber was unraveling her body, and Snowy was beginning to wake up.
"Heh, looks like we made it. We don't need to wait around for the luggage area, we can just leave the airport directly. I have a car waiting for us. Unlike other regions, Kanto doesn't really depend on one's Pokemon to get around. You'll see a lot less Ride Pokemon and such. No Flying Taxis either.", Ricky explained.
"So we won't be flying around inside a taxi or anything then. I didn't expect you to have a car.", Lillie mused.
"I just purchased one recently. Nothing anything fancy. It'll get us to where we need to go. We won't be going far, though. I have us at a nearby hotel. It is 6PM now, so that means we have another six hours to burn. We will be back in Viridian City once we start our journey, so it's not like we need to take in all the sights right now. So I recommend just kicking back and let our bodies destress the flight.", Ricky suggested.
"That works for me. We'll have all the time in the world to go to places we want to venture into. We can relax for now.", Lillie nodded.
As Lillie said that, the two heard the cabin lights ding again, signaling that it was alright for them to start moving around. Ricky smiled seeing Amber jump off the seat. He reached out into the aisle and greeted Amber.
"You have a good rest, Amber, Snowy?", Ricky asked.
"Nine.", Amber nodded in response.
"Vulpix!", Snowy happily responded. Her tail started to wag as Snowy walked across the aisle. Lillie smiled seeing Snowy beside her. She leaned down and picked her up.
"We'll have to call you two back into your balls for the time being, alright? Once we're at the hotel we'll let you two out again.", Lillie said to Amber and Snowy. The two were understanding. Seeing Lillie say that, Ricky nodded, and got out his Pokeball. Like that, the two recalled their Pokemon. Ricky placed Amber back into his Trainer belt while Lillie stored Snowy inside her bag.
"You really should think of getting a trainer belt, Lillie. It doesn't have to be like mine. I know you like to carry around that small bag of yours everywhere. You could attach a trainer belt to it.", Ricky suggested.
"You think so? I didn't ever consider going on an adventure, but it would be nice to have one...", Lillie wondered.
"Haha! I think I found the first place we'll head to once we start our journey.", Ricky said as he laughed.
After saying that, the two brought out their bags. The first row had already exited, and they didn't want to hold the line for everyone else. They proceeded along. Despite it being 6PM, Viridian City Airport was still active and busy. Many travelers were going about with their Pokemon. If there was one change in the scenery, most Pokemon were of the Kanto Region!
