A silence fell over the room as the board members looked at each other doubtfully.
Though general discomfort was in the room, no one openly opposed the move.
The absence of Chairman Jeff Go and his wife significantly impacted the decision. Still, with their 40% stake momentarily eliminated, the surviving board members were left to rely only on Ava and Mr. Wright.
The moment the vote was called, Mr. Wright curtly nodded. His spot on the board was solidified when the hands rose individually.
"It's done," Ava thought, forcing a contented grin.
The corporate secretary reiterated her statement on Mr. Wright's new role as the last hand was raised.
"Mr. Wright is officially appointed as a Mega World Intl board member. Group." She said with her head high and back straight, looking at everyone proudly.
