That evening, Crystal contacted Ava, who eagerly awaited their Facetime conversation.
"Hey there!" Ava beamed.
"Hey! So, have you managed to sort everything out?" Crystal inquired casually.
"Mhmm, I have. I've realized I shouldn't hold James or Ashton responsible for what happened five years ago. Running away was my choice, and it ended up causing trouble for you. But that's all for now. We're good."
Crystal was relieved that everything had been sorted out and that Ava and James were on good terms.
Knowing that Ava and James were betrothed before birth, Crystal was cautious with her response, not wanting Ava to misunderstand her relationship with her boss.
To change the subject, Crystal suggested, "If you're not too busy this weekend, would you like to come to my new place? I recently moved, and I'd love to give you a tour."
She said this casually, slightly smiling, and her two dimples showed as she spoke.
