The shock on James's face at the mention of Ava's name only added to the mystery, leaving Crystal uncertain about what to make of the situation.
Just as he was about to ask more questions, Crystal dropped another bombshell:
"I'm sorry, but I have to tell you this. I know about Miss Ava Go, your fiancée because she sought me out before returning to the Philippines after attending the new game launching event. She informed me that I used to be her bodyguard and that we were involved in a tragic accident five years ago. Unfortunately, I lost some of my memories after waking up from the accident."
So, that is what happened.
James understood why Crystal did not speak to her when Ava arrived at the new game launch.
It makes sense; if Crystal had lost some of her memories and her parents hadn't told her the truth, she would have no idea. He felt much lighter, knowing that Crystal was as clear as her name.
