Crystal's question left everyone in the room stunned.
Sensing the tension, Akira quickly checked the extension number and leaned in to whisper to Crystal, "It's my brother, the President."
With laughter bubbling just beneath the surface, she returned to her desk.
Crystal's cheeks turned scarlet as she realized she had been speaking to the President all along.
"There's no need, Sir. I know who you are now, and I will be right there," she stammered, hastily ending the call before James could respond.
Then, without hesitation, she made a beeline for the President's Office as if unseen forces were chasing her.
President Jones' secretaries gathered around the reception area, but they were taken aback when the new employee, Miss Lee, walked by without acknowledging them.
A hushed silence filled the room as Miss Lee stopped before the President's Office.
