Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 6

"Whatever, if there is something I clearly remember from that particular day was my grandmother's words,

Uhm"

"Y-ou just said you remembered it clearly," Nia said not so surely

"I k-now , uh

yes,

she said that there is always more to what we usually see through our naked eyes, that it is important for us to be aware of our surroundings in the best way possible so that we don't make mistakes in life.

Ren said in reminiscence.

'I wish she had told me earlier so that I could pay more attention to it ' the words came out wobbly from his mouth.

Nia just tried to understand what ren meant but instead decided to make ren feel better her priority, she grabbed onto his hand and caressed it , asking him to calm down.

"Now tell me Ren what happened after that "

"I - I heard an announcement; it was from the art gallery's control room and I ran straight towards the location, but never found her and I was lost"

At this point, nia again knew ren was hiding something from her and wondered whom exactly ren was referring to when he said 'her'.

His grandmother probably~ she thought

Ren was crying by now.

Nia decided to offer him comfort was letting him lean on her shoulder and drew circles on his back as an attempt to calm him down.

She had known ren for almost 10 years now,

They were 7 years old when they first met.

Ren used to visit the countryside with his parents during summer break, them being neighbours they played a lot together and that's when their friendship grew, though nia was always left curious by ren's actions.

When they were around 12 years old, ren stopped his summer vacations to the countryside and left nia awaiting his arrival.

But now there he is crying like a little baby.

She wondered why this 17-year-old kiddo was reminded of the countryside only after all these years.

There were a lot of questions in her mind, but right now what mattered to her was making her old bestie feel comfortable.

Nia did not realize but ren had stopped crying by now. His expressions show guilt and anxiety.

Only time could tell as to what and whom these emotions were directed to.
