I was sitting in the booth, waiting for an item that interested me as I watched them come up and people bid for them.
Oh, and I was talking with Janice.
[Yes, you will explain your life to me.]
{But I don't want to.}
[But you will.]
{But no.}
[But yes.]
This continued for a long time in the auction until something interesting appeared.
{But no.}
[Listen here you little shit, you will tell me, RIGHT FU-]
{Shut up. Something interesting came up.}
"Here we have the forest flute! This Artefact was found in the Lyrist Forest hidden within a whistling tree!"
The flute itself would look normal, if it didn't look like a black spotted white stick with a vine tangled around it like a snake.
"While it may not look like much, it is able to enhance illusions!"
\Plot: Insert Mic Drop here.\
The auction hall went dead silent.
While enhancing physical or mental abilities would be the normality, to enhance an ILLUSION itself, is insane. Enhancing an illusion gives it part tangibility, which is usually only possible for those with extreme levels of illusion control, thus it was definitely enticing. Especially for me, who needs it to make myself 'look' and 'feel' like my old self for my students.
"The bidding will start at 2 Diamond Tears, you must bid in increments of at least 1 Diamond tear each time. You may begin."
"70 Diamond Tears"
The 'Owl' had bid.
"100 Diamond Tears"
I had bid.
The war had begun.
We went up and up and up.
130 - O
160 - F
400 - O
750 - The 'Demon' joined the bidding.
1,200 - O
24,000 - D
27,000 - F
30,000 - D
32,000 - F
46,000 - O
57,250 - D
64,000 - O
69,420 - F
72,000 - D
And it kept going.
The 'Demon' and the 'Owl' were persistent. The 'Owl' wanted it to strengthen his illusions. The 'Demon' wanted it to barter with me and the 'Owl'. But neither wanted it more than me.
They had no idea how much I wanted this until I got tired of bidding for it.
"147,000"
The 'Demon' bid.
As the 'Owl' was about to bid, I interrupted him.
"1 Platinum Tear."
Both the 'Demon' and the 'Owl' hesitated. Both wanted it, but neither wanted to spend too much on it. I, on the other hand, didn't give a shit if I had to pay hundreds of platinum tears for this.
I would get it.
"SOLD TO THE 'Fox' FOR 1 PLATINUM TEAR!"
I had gotten it.
[You're crazy you know that? Why are you going so far for students?]
{...I'll talk to you later Janice.}
The day went on and people bid for items, some won some, some lost some. It was finally nearing the end.
The Three Holy Grails.
That was what they called the last three items in the black market auctions, this one it fits even more so. Why? Because the 'Demon' himself put items in and said they were special.
I was excited.
"Now then! We thank you all for coming, if you'd like to take your items and leave or stay and try to bid or watch the bidding, you may. We will now announce the last items!"
"The 3rd Holy Grail."
The atmosphere turned towards tangible tension.
"0.001% of a Flow Fox's Bloodline."
No one got the chance to bid.
Not even me.
The instant after they said that, those who were undercover police operatives all bolted into action. Windows blew up in the Mid and Low Rank Booths. People jumped up from seats down below. The police were in for a fright though.
The moment Sebastian stood up, he got knocked out by me. Skylar didn't dare move. She had a hint of a fraction of my strength when I 'invited' her to become the high-priest.
I still knocked her out to keep up appearances though.
"Don't kill them, I'll interrogate them myself."
Leaving those words behind, I jumped through the glass. The Top-Rank booth's glass breaking definitely attracted attention.
The 'Demon' followed behind and shouted.
"SECURE THE POLICE! DON'T LET A SINGLE ONE ESCAPE!"
The Auction's Guards immediately went into action.
Two men and a woman stood out amongst the police.
One had a cutlass, one had a medieval tower shield, the woman held a whip.
'The shield one is dangerous.'

As soon as my feet touched the chair I was landing on, I rushed towards the shield person.
'At the moment, although I haven't gotten the hang of my body completely, it's a given though since it's only been a month and a half, I am able to move well enough to use [Fox Arts]'
[Fox Arts] - A martial art made by the first 'Fox'. There are three forms and 10 steps to each.
The First Form - Connections, Step 1: Kinetic Transfer. I rushed in, put my left palm flat on the tower shield. I pushed off with my left foot and put my right flat on the shield, next to my palm, then twisted my left arm. I put my left foot below my right and pushed.
This happened in 2 seconds.
The man lost his grip on the shield as the back of it rammed into his body, pushing him over chairs and into another officer. The principal behind the move was the same as the name. I assume it was based off the movie where the principal showed up, the only difference is that the movie has the character absorb and release, while I build up and 'use' the energy.
When I reached the ground again, I hopped onto the top of a chair and ran along them, skipping one row each time.
Reaching the man who was standing up in less than ten seconds, I leapt at him.
The man was able to react rather easily, pushing his shield at me. But that's what I wanted.
I pulled my body in, ready for the impact. The moment my feet hit the shield, I sprung off it and over the man. The man turned fast enough to see a sword of water cut off three officer's heads.
I didn't pay much attention to him before sprinting towards the stage. The whip girl was putting the items in a portal formed by her whip. She turned to see me, ready to attack. She didn't even notice she didn't close the portal.
Now, in hindsight, I was being stupid, but still. I wanted my stuff.
I used {Kinetic Transfer} on myself and leapt through the portal.
