Things felt a little more like normal after their morning scare, so Katherine tried to make the best of it. Obviously Charles was still carrying around some tension, but it was hard to tell if it was from last night or from finding out about the rebels.
"Do you want to talk more about it?" she asked him while they were still holding each other.
Blue was too busy playing with a stuffed elephant toy to care that Katherine and Charles weren't paying her much attention, so now was a good time for them to hash it out and say whatever they needed to say.
"I don't want to talk about the future anymore, I just want to enjoy the now," Charles said. "Are you okay with that?"
Charles pulled away from their embrace so that he could look at Katherine and see her reaction. He moved his hands to hold hers, but he never took his eyes away from her.
