Katherine pulled her clothes from the dryer and got dressed, threw her phone in her pocket, and made her way downstairs to find Charles. When she walked into the open concept space that held the living room and kitchen, he was nowhere to be seen, however, she did see that the glass doors had been brought down into the floor.
Holding up her hand to shield her eyes from the strong sun rays, Katherine made her way outside and onto the sand where she found Charles still on his typical morning run across the water's edge. When she saw that his back was turned to her and that he was running the other direction, she went back inside.
She walked into the kitchen and noticed how it was perfectly clean again and that every glass had been washed. She walked to the refrigerator and grabbed a cold bottle of water before she went back outside and sat on one of the chairs that was still on the sand from yesterday.
