Katherine brought her hand up to run over her face. She massaged her temples to help ease some of the tension that the day had brought on. "I'm tired," she ended up replying with a long breath.
"Bed it is. Come on, I'll walk you there," Charles said as he turned to walk towards her room.
Katherine kept her face forward as they made their way down the hall, but she could feel Charles's eyes on her the whole time like he was afraid that she would burst into tears or collapse at any moment. "I'm fine," she told him with a hint of annoyance.
"I know. But if you're not, that's okay too. You're strong, but everyone has a breaking point."
