*Tring*
The door bell rang again.
'Usually those who rang it by mistake would have given up by now. Or would have realized that they were at the wrong door.'
Devin couldn't help but ponder who might it be. As far as he knew, even those business advertisers that used to come before had forgotten his home address. Without them it was hard for anyone to remember his doorbell.
'What kind of lost soul might it be this time?'
Devin's title of trouble seeker wasn't for show. Because he was constantly on bad terms against the seniors and bullies, his classmates tend to separate themselves from him for fear that they would get in trouble too. So it wasn't like Devin had any friends that would knock his door.
"Well, I guess I would find out soon."
He turned the lock and opened the door. There was a girl in front of it who looked to be around about as young as himself. But all Devin did was frown as he took a quick look at her from top to bottom. She was wearing a really weird attire.
She wore a white long gown with sleeveless tunics and purple wimples to cover her hair.
'What kind of advertisement is this now?' Devin thought. 'Some kind of costume sellers?'
Devin could only chase her away if she was a product advertisement again. But there was nothing wrong at hearing what she had to say for once.
"Yes?" Devin asked tilting his head.

"Please your highness be safe on your travels," a man reprimaided to a young girl.
"I will Claive, but let no one know of my absence. If push comes to shove I will return back without finding him. Since there would be no other option for us. Even if I die, I want to live the dying years in my lands." Elena smiled.
But her smile only hurt Claive more. She knew that it was a fake smile plastered on her face. She was in much more pain than he could have probably realized.
His arms tuned heavy as he felt his shoulders drooping. Was there really nothing he could do for her?
He laid out a heavy sigh.
'There is no going back now.'
The man nodded as he waved his staff. A viridescent light wrapped around the young girl's body as she found herself disappearing from existence.
*Swish*
She felt herself losing her consciousness. Her whole body felt light as if it was weightless. She was just floating in the vast void. It was the strange kind of feeling... the kind that would make you panic if you were awake but smile if you were to experience it in a dream.
"Elena… Elena," a feminine voice called out to her.
Hearing someone calling her, she couldn't help but try to open her eyes. Her eyelids fluttered as she tried to open her eyes. But to no avail. It was like her eyes were forced shut with a powerful adhesive.
"Don't worry I am neither friend nor foe. I am the dimension gateway that you are using at the moment."
Elena nodded.
"I see, I have heard about you"
"Fufu, That makes things much easier for me. You know what you have to do right?"
Elena nodded.
"Then here..."
Suddenly a wave of information was implanted in Elena's brain.
"Choose one."
"I already have. I choose [Negotiation]," Elena claimed.
The unknown voice chuckled as if it knew what was going to follow after this.
"Very well, safe travels." It bid Elena farewell as Elena felt her body being swooped away. It was like she was trapped in a strong gust of wind.
This was followed by the weight of her body returning back to her.
Elena finally opened her eyes only to find herself standing along a pavement. Cars rushing left and right at enormous speeds was the first thing that entered into her perception. For moment she felt scared thinking that she was under attack but then sighed as she realized that this was hardly the case.
She was following Claive's advice.
'When you feel that you are in danger either run away from the source or stand frozen in your place without reacting to anything.' That was he had said.
"It's working fine till now"
She sighed a breath of relief. It was then that her vision reached to other mysterious things around her. There were tall buildings that touched the sky. Big screens that had the power of showing other humans! And even several stores selling a variety of things.
She couldn't help but feel mesmerized at the new world but also felt scared of the dangers that came along with it.
'I can't lose faith here. I have to persist and find him!'
Elena cupped her hands into a fist as she made her resolve.
"But where should I look?"
She looked around trying to decide where she had to go but it was all a maze for her. The cityscape was definitely not something she walk around easily.
It was then that she remembered something important. She placed her hands on her chest as she tried to calm herself down.
"Follow your heart! That's the way to find him." Elena reminded herself yet again.
