The four families were Shao, Qin, Yi and Zhang. They had been the four most extensive base during the Apocalypse, and within three years, they quickly swallowed up other camps.
After three years, the small and defeated bases under these families were known as clans.
Luo Li Luo Qiu was part of the Luo clan established by Luo Qiu herself.
The Luo clan was under the governance of the Qin family and were ranked mid amongst the other septs.
However, due to how big the clans were, the four families could not keep an eye on all of them.
Hence the families trained up their forces to keep these clans in check.
Jiang Ying Yue, who had no intention of returning to the dreadful Luo clan filled with snakes, slightly burnt from head to toe, was heading off to hunt some snakeheads.
For someone who was unhealthy to walk on these dreadful dunes, her fragile ankles felt like they became even more brittle and were threatening to snap at any moment.

"Fat tubby, come help!" Jiang Ying Yue anxiously looked at the lazy cat watching some news channel while sipping on soda floating beside her.
The tubby glanced at her then the snake before throwing a small unremarkable black dagger that appeared out of thin air over to her.
Catching it, Jiang Ying Yue was speechless. Is this your way of helping? Is it?!

The fat cat shooed her away with its paws, "don't disturb me, I'm watching something important."
"Is it more important than me becoming snake food?!" Jiang Ying Yue clenched the dagger in her hands as she cautiously looked at the slithering giant black snake.
-Ding! Target mission appeared; to our precious customer, please collect the snakehead to earn rewards!-
I don't want to! I don't want to do this! (༎ຶ⌑༎ຶ)
Jiang Ying Yue mentally howled.
Back in the cultivation world, if she were to face a snake this size without an ounce of cultivation, she'd be splattered into snake food!

While the snake was on a ferocious offence, Jiang Ying Yue, injected with gold chicken blood swirled on the sand, became more fluid the longer she defended herself.
Adrenaline was a life-saver!
However, Jiang Ying Yue knew from experience that she either had to end this soon or become snake food in five minutes.
Her mind moved quickly, and her eyes became cold and peculiarly calm, and as she had been analysing the snake since the start, she had already found several weak spots.
Without much thought, she gritted her teeth, growled out a scream before twisting her body at an awkward angle and attacked.
The abdomen, the left side of the neck, the underbelly, the tail and the back of the neck were all ruthlessly slashed by Jiang Ying Yue.
The fat tubby casually glanced at the woman who had been yelling at it for help earlier and snorted.
To help, wasn't that too cheap for it? You can sort it out yourself!
Jiang Ying Yue watched with cold eyes as each time she struck, the number of HP fell rapidly.

The black snake, which had been ferocious half an hour prior, slumped dead on the ground.
Covered in blood from head to toe, Jiang Ying Yue stood still; her pair of usual dull eyes were icy and a tint of red, causing the beautiful night to become eerie when one saw her.

A simple lidless black box appeared floating in front of Jiang Ying Yue; wordlessly, she stepped over the reptile's neck before slicing it cleanly in half.
Picking up the butchered snakehead Jiang Ying Yue threw it into the box and watched it disappeared.

The fat tubby silently oversaw the silent woman; a dim white light appeared in its paws, slowly becoming more bright.
Sensing something, Jiang Ying Yue turned and emotionlessly looked at the fat cat, causing its hackles to rise from the sudden sense of danger.
"Don't even think about it," the fat tubby warned as it waved the right paw with the white light.
Jiang Ying Yue frowned; the cold eyes seemed to have a sharp gold colour streaked across them before she took a deep breath, closed her eyes before opening them.
"Hey, I told you to help me, not just to sit there and watch!" Jiang Ying Yue, who finally returned to normal, complained as she threw the bloodied dagger at the fat cat.
The tubby breathed a sigh of relief, and the white light in its paws disappeared.
Coughing, it caught the dagger before chucking it back at her.
"You sure you don't want the dagger anymore?"
Jiang Ying Yue bared her teeth, "no, I still need it to skin you!" Then, she pounced over, ready to skin the damn cat and eat it alive.
"Jiang Ying Yue, let me tell you, this daddy is precious!" The fat tubby floated higher as it yelled at the woman.
Jiang Ying Yue didn't even have time to give this useless teammate a piece of her mind before another giant black snake appeared, obviously attracted by the smell of blood.
Hence another battle broke out.
It wasn't till late afternoon that the tired Jiang Ying Yue finally placed the last snakehead into the black box.
"I'm beat; I want a bath! I want food! I want to sleep!" Jiang Ying Yue yelled, feeling disgusted about her sweaty body that nearly fainted several times during the fights.
She wanted to lay down on the sand, but feeling the boiling temperature through her shoes, she gave up the thought.

Jiang Ying Yue tiredly glanced at the near-transparent window, which had its interface upgraded.
There was an additional function under the stats that she didn't even bother to glance at, and that was the inventory tab.
Clicking on it, she saw two items.
One was a gift pack, and after checking the information, it was the welcome package from the previous insurance incident.
The other was an icon of a hut.
Clicking on the hut and pressing the use button, a simple bamboo hut appeared in front of Jiang Ying Yue.
Without caring, she pushed open the door and realised the inside was much larger than she had initially thought.
Seeing a bathtub filled with fragrant roses, scent and petals, she hurriedly closed the door in the face of the fat tubby that was about to enter, locked it before stripping and hurridly entering the bathtub.

"Fat tubby, stay out there; I'm bathing!" Jiang Ying Yue didn't care if the stupid cat got heatstroke; anyways, the animal had preserved its cultivation despite travelling through time and space so the heat won't affect it.
