"Young master Starfall, good morning!" A voice suddenly resounded as a bright light shone into my eyes. Huh? Where am I? Wasn't I meeting my...Then it hit me, that was a dream. A really sad dream.
-
"Hm? Young master, did you have a bad dream? Your eyes are red." A maid asked.
-
"No, no...It's...I had a dream about losing my dog." I lied as I slowly got out of bed. "He was such a good friend too..."
-
"Well, I'm sorry for your loss but, the master of this house is calling for you. Go and meet him after you've calmed down." The maid informed me before she scurried off, leaving me alone.
-
"Well, that was a rollercoaster of emotions. I wonder why did I dream of that particular memory?" Hand in chin, I pondered to myself quietly. I mean, dreams are mysterious phenomena that are sometimes created through your brain chemicals, while other times were just Higher Beings messing with you. The demigods especially, they rarely get any good dreams. Most of the time though? Visions of their future or what their enemies are up to. Furthermore, I heard it was even worse for the sons and daughters of the God Kings, a new vision everyday had caused most of them to don't live long.
-
From my old sect's records, there were actually records stating that the dreams you have are all connected to other parallel worlds. For example, you had dreamt that you have ascended to God realm and lived a fulfilling life. After you woke up, you would think that was your future but in actual fact, it was not your future. That was another world's you that have indeed ascended to God realm. You were just witnessing his life through your dreams.

After an incense stick of time, I stopped questioning it and instead got changed and went down to meet father. Oh? My broken arm has restored itself? That's nice. As I walked to the closet after I bathed, I was stunned, mouth agape as I browsed through my closet. After 10 minutes of indecision and pickiness, I have chosen a plain white shirt coupled with black shorts and sandals. Everything else in my wardrobe was too damn dazzling! They can't expect a five year old to wear those glossy suits, right? Right??
-
Yeah...no. I was reprimanded by the maid waiting outside my door and was forced to put on a glossy blue jacket I found distasteful even for myself. My sandals were also confiscated, leaving me to wear those shitty and hot pair of boats. Yeah uh...someone named a pair of shoes "Boat Shoes". I knew this pair of shoes from one of my companions in my previous lives. She was a shoemaker and a fanatic shoe collector. She told me that boat shoes were created to provide extra traction on wet boat decks. I then asked her, how was this a craze? She then told me that everybody started boat shoes since they looked fancy but were in fact comfortable....Whoops, I got off topic there, hehe.
-
Yeah anyways, I went down to meet my father as soon as my maid was satisfied with my clothes.
-
"Gah! Why is this coat so itchy?!" My arms and back were probably allergic to this coat's materials that I had to use my Spiritual Sense to help scratch me in the right places. I am now wondering how advance is this world's cleaning techniques...considering this coat had a heavy perfume smell yet seemed icky when I put in on. Then I remembered something, I stretched my out at the empty space and did a slashing motion downwards with my hand as my slash tore through space and opened a pitch black hole. I then proceeded to stretch my hand into the pitch black void. After fumbling my arm in the void crack for about 3 minutes, I finally felt the item and pulled it out of the void. What I pulled out was a piece of yellow parchment paper with blue unreadable inscriptions on it. It not only had a light blue halo on it but if a normal person were to hold it in their hand, they would be able to feel a breeze blow past them.

This was a Cleaning Talisman. It's a commercial talisman mass produced by Pristine Palace back in Heaven. My sect had always buy these talismans in bulk first before distributing them among the branch sects. A Cleaning Talisman was Heaven's substitute of the lower realms' washing machine. Cleaning Talismans not only help keep our clothes and bodies clean, they only required a person's Heavenly Energy to cast and they were made from Immortal Tree Bark, which regrows itself within minutes after harvest. After taking out the talisman, I proceeded to pour my Spiritual Energy into the talisman to activate it. Within seconds, the talisman disappeared into the wind as I felt my clothes have been washed and dried. It was magical feeling indeed. The smell on my coat was gone and the glossy effect was removed? Nice!
-
Since I remembered that I had an extra Cleaning Talisman just now and how the talisman had gotten rid of my clothes glossy effect, I was in a particular good mood as I waltz into the living room. Seeing me walk in with a smile, my father who was sipping a cup of something put down his his cup and asked, "Ah, I see you've woken up...I heard that you had a nightmare last night, why are you all smiles now?"
-
"Good morning, father. I did have a nightmare previously but that doesn't matter now, look at how good looking I am." With that, I did several poses in front of my father as I showed off my fashion style.
-
"Oh ho? I didn't know you care...Hmm, it does look good on you."
-
"Thanks!"
-
"Alright, enough chatter...You must be hungry, right?
-
I nodded.
-
"Good, seeing how you've entered Body Tempering realm yesterday. I have now prepared a feast...Rodrick, bring the food here!"
-
As father called upon this servant named Rodrick, a black shadow had suddenly appeared from behind father's chair and replied, "Yes, master!" Then he dashed away before I could get a good look at him. Confused, I could only look at my father for answers.
-
My father seeing my stunned expression proceeded to enlighten me. "That was Rodrick...he's our family's butler and is my most trusted servant. He was once a assassin, which is why he acts like that...You'll get used to it."
-
"O." I nodded. So Rodrick is a butler assassin? That's so cool!
