The Girl
It is the first day of summer... You can feel a cool zephyr, that makes my hair blow restlessness. I am standing on a bench in the Nuri park, there aren't a lot of people, that's a good thing. Most of the other young adults are partying. It was the graduation day for most of them and for the youth it is the first day of vacation. My phone rings in the pocket of my baggy, black pants. I get it and open the screen. It's a text from my aunt.
Aunty Miri
''Out in the city tonight! Call if you need anything.''
''Sure. Probably will stay at home anyway.''
''Have fun.''
''Sure thing''
I sight, and a smile appear on my face, maybe it will be a good dayafter all. Even since my parents died, when I was a kid, my aunt took care of me. She is trying to be that kind of cool aunt, letting me do whatever I want, she just once made only one rule, no pregnancy till I am 18. It's not like it was possible anyway. I never had a boyfriend, and I am not looking forward on having one now, either. But that doesn't mean I am not sometimes wandering, ''What would had happed if I had a boyfriend? Or, oh wow, what if I would had been pregnant?''
I let my phone down and put it back in my pocket. And I realise a boy... no, definitely a man... is now sitting next to me. He's resting his head to the back of the bench, with his eyes closed. After his clothes, I think he was jogging or running. He was wearing a sleeveless, black, tight T-shirt with some denim, jogging pants.
He has soft, beautiful features, his pale skin looks sloppy, his long, wavy, black, hair looks so smooth and spotless. His neck is so stretched out, that his Adam apple is easily noticeable.
He has a well worked out body, explaining the running session, with visible biceps. By the way his body looks, I will give him 22 years, but I am not the one to talk. Besides, I could be so very wrong.
''Haven't your parent learned you it's not polite to stare.'' the man is talking to me, with his eyes still closed.
''I don't know what you're talking about, sir.'' I said calmly, it's not like he can prove my staring anyway, and he's a stranger so it is not like I am embarrassed or anything.
The men slowly and sleepy open his eyes. He has eyes of a beautiful Nordic blue. You can easily get lost in this dreamy, sky-crystal eyes. They are ironically innocent compared to the rest of his body. So is his voice I might say.
Talking about his body thought, he does not look like that kind of men that only have big muscles. He doesn't have very big muscles, but they are enough for anyone to say that he is strong. And if it wasn't for his cloths, he looks like a smart man.
Now both of us are staring in each other's eyes. He looks like he wants to say something, but he keeps his mouth shut. 'God damn it, just say what you want to, don't keep me waiting!' I thought.
He finally opened his mouth, his voice changed, not like the other time he spoke, then he had a strong, riotous voice, now he has a sweet, much calmer one.
The Man
That smutty girl really likes to talk back to elders. But she really is beautiful, no one can deny.
The way her hair falls in her face is somewhat magical. Her hair is white and she's wearing it loose, it is not very long, mine is longer that hers, it can be seen very clearly. Her hair is straight. She looks like a little child, cute but somewhat funny. She has some big, green eyes, that take my breath away. I would give everything to just stare in them for a little longer. Would she mind if I will just stare deep in that field of fresh grass?
Her face looks reddish, but angelic. With no wrinkles, or scares, or any defects that could make someone unpleased with her looks. She's not the most beautiful girl, thought. But she has that kind of irresistible mien.
''Look who's staring!'' she said with an amused, somewhat childish voice. It woke me up from the trance she put me in. When she's talking her lips are not moving a whole lot. But just them, she's got velvet, pale lips.
''Can I see your smile?'' I asked, I didn't even realise that. That's one of the things I hate the most about me, sometimes I don't even think what I am about to say, but when my mouth opens, it speaks for itself.
''What kind of question is that?'' she looks confused... but so am I. I didn't answer. I shacked a gentle 'I don't know'. She answered, rolling her eyes.
The Girl
He just shacked his head. After that, he is not talking. We are just staring at each other. I think he is exanimating me, just how I was looking at him, a while ago. With his eyes opened he lose his toughness. He is much scarier with his eyes closed. But still not scary enough.
I am kind a happy he stays still, most of the people would leave if you started talking with them.
''I am Ernest.'' he said smiling.
''Nice to meet you! I am Mackenna.'' I smiled back. He chuckles, I know what he was thinking at that moment, that made me feel comfortable around him, somehow, even save.
''Fire born!''
''Serious! Are you serious?'' it interested me... I thought I was the only person who knows the meaning of most names, because it's not common, maybe not even useful. Impressive!
''You don't look like that kind of girl.''
''Woman.'' I say ''I am a woman.'' he smirked.
''Stubborn women.'' I laugh. He laughs. I like the atmosphere.
''Favorite book?''
''How do you know I like reading?''
''You have a book near your things... so…. why not?''
''Can't chose...''
''Me neither.''
We both smiled. It feels like we just found ourselves again.
''I like black.'' he said
''Sad... I love black!''
''Would you marry it?'' he asked.
''No! Why would I marry a color.'' then he nodded.
''Want to walk?'' I agreed, I took my things, and we start walking together.
It's been like this for two hours, we've been walking, talking, not talking, just listening to the silence, admiring the park, the lake, the trees. Enjoying ourselves. Amazing, I like that feeling.
''I like art, every kind of art.'' he said, ''The art of moving. The art of talking. The art of feeling. Everything is art and I like everything.'' he impresses me... a lot.
