Li Jun stood there watching as the medics rushed to carry Li Na's father, Mr. Xu, into the hospital ward, covered in blood. Li Na was immediately examined more carefully by a doctor at the hospital. Blood is drawn and an MRI of various sections of her body is scheduled by the doctor.
While Li Jun waited, he dashed to Li Na's side, grasping her cold, bleeding hand.
Some minutes later, Li Na was ushered into a private ward while she was heavily sedated to calm her mind. He couldn't sit down, he kept on looking at the room Li Na was rushed to. With his throat clogged with unspeakable emotions, all Li Jun could do is wait as they kept on attending to Li Na and her father.
"Where's my husband? Get off! I said don't hold me! Where's my husband?! I want to see my husband and daughter!" a shrill noise came from the hospital desk.
Li Jun froze in the hospital hallway outside the emergency ward. He looked up as he saw a woman who has an uncanny resemblance to Li Na, he knew it was Li Na's mother, though the woman looked older and authoritative he knew that she was Li Na's mother.
"I'm asking for my family. Show me to the ward they are now!"Li Jun spun on his heel and ran to the place where the woman was causing a ruckus.
As he entered the hallway, he could hear Mrs. Xu arguing with the stationed nurse. Loudly.
"Excuse me," Li Jun walked towards the hysterical woman.
"Who might you be?" Li Na's mother turned around to the Young man who was talking to her as recognition filtered into her mind, "You! What are you doing here? What did you do to my husband?" She shouted as she kept on pointing to Li Jun furiously.
"I think you need to calm down, ma. And let the doctors do their work in peace" Li Jun said fiercely, not minding her rude gesture.
"Don't you dare lecture me, Young man! I think I'm a better judge of character when I told that daughter of mine to stop dating you. Look what you've caused. You injur--" Mrs. Xu was in Li Jun's face, trying to physically intimidate him, but Li Jun cut her off, meeting her toe to toe and not minding that she's an elder and a woman.
"Well, clearly you aren't, Mrs. Xu, or You wouldn't have allowed that animal called Chen Yinnan into your house before he r**ed your daughter in your own freaking house. Do you know what the police said, they said he had a key with him, He had access to your freaking house, Madam. What were you thinking?"
"Excuse me, this is a hospital. Take it outside." An elderly doctor with a stern countenance approached them.
Li Jun acknowledged him briefly then turned back to look at Mrs. Xu's shocked expression.
"I-I, that cannot be. He called me the previous day and told me that he was not in Keelung City. That he traveled out. The key that was with him was the spare key to the guest house I gave him during his last visit after his release when he told me he had no place to stay for the night. I cannot believe that he did such things. He was nice. NO, it can't be. How do I know that you didn't start the whole thing and put the blame on an innocent man " Li Na's mother glared at Li Jun with furious and seething intensity.
"Are kidding me or are you just unnecessarily dumb?."Li Jun's eyes flashed.
"I have nothing to hide. Instead of worrying about the criminal and believing him, don't you think you should be a little more concerned about your daughter or your husband? Protecting and trusting Li Na was your job. Your job as a mother. And you've been doing a lousy demeaning job of it her whole life. Wow. How could you have sent her to meet with that bastard after all he has put her through, huh?" Li Jun looked at the infuriating woman.
Mrs. Xu squinted so hard that the veins nearly burst on her forehead. "You don't know what you're talking about, so you need to shut the hell up. You've got some nerve lecturing me about my daughter. You're just a privileged boy with no parents. Do you think I didn't research you? Oh! I know that you were taken into the psych ward because you have a history of drugs. I don't want you anywhere near my daughter, or I'll have you arrested."
"You have no right to mention my parents. They are better parents during their short time than you by far. And my history with drugs was all in the past. I don't care about your thoughts on my relationship with Li Na?" Li Jun glared at Li Na's mother unabashedly..
"Get your head out of your arse! I'm talking about you allowing a scum bag to violate your daughter all over again. Your husband was able to install cameras for future purposes and I'm sure that when you see it you will be able to confirm your foolishness yourself." Li Jun eyed the sputtering Mrs. Xu with anger sparking in his eyes.
Li Jun continued with fury. "You did absolutely nothing. In fact, your husband had the humanity to check on your daughter. But what about you? Were you too busy or too conceited to care for your daughter?, Director Xu! No matter how old she is, she needs your care!"
Mrs. Xu looked at Li Jun with an expression of utter hatred. He has no right to lecture her on how to train her daughter. It took all her being not to slap the foolish boy because she knows that with a flick of his hands he can order her company to go bankrupt. She had researched him and found out that he was the only son of the great Lu family in Taiwan and she was not happy about Li Na being in a relationship with him.
Not responding to Li Jun's words, She turned her back on him and swore at Li Jun a few more times, and stomped over to the hospital bench while she awaited the news about her husband and daughter.

Li Na squinted up into Li Jun's face and tried to focus. He was holding her hand, and his other hand was randomly pressing at his mobile phone.
"Just get it done" she heard him mutter as his eyes turned to hers.
"Hi! What are you doing?" she asked.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" he asked, concerned brimming in his eyes. She tried to smile, but by the look on Li Jun's face, it was more like a grimace. "It's alright, Li Na. Do you hear me? You will be okay very soon. You were brave, I love that about you." Li Jun whispered as he rubbed Li Na's hand affectionately.
The pain in her body had started to fade and Li Jun's gruff voice was strangely soothing. She could feel herself start to drift, everything was getting fuzzy around the edges and his voice was sounding further, and further away.
