The sword in Sharen's hand faded out of existence and a powerful punch slammed into his jaw, sending him tumbling across the ruin that was once the majestic Holy palace. He fell, rolling till he hit a half broken wall.
Pains flashed across his body and his bones snapped from the single punch he'd received from the Holy Emperor but that wasn't the most worrisome thing for him. He looked to the side and found his sword lying there harmlessly. How had Lyanor—the Emperor—made his sword abandon him with just a thought? Was that the powers of a violet cored mage—one at godhood?
Sharen ignored the protesting bones and stood, reaching out and pulling on his sword. Lyanor smashed his hand down and the sword faded again, reappearing somewhere else.
