The corridors of the palace were paved with fine stones and it glistened under the illumination of the lamps placed along the wall. The magical lamps burned bright and warm, giving radiance to the mundane looking environment.
Once, Zograt had found those walls to be a waste, a very wrong concept of ornamentation. Why waste good effort to create something that looked dull when destruction looked so beautiful? In a sense, destruction was the end of all things—beautiful or ugly. It was an inevitable ending.
That was the Zograt of the past but now, she'd found a new purpose, almost like her old self had returned. It was all thanks to Sharen's help. Ever since she'd become a Knight, no one had ever showed her kindness at that level and it made her happy.
