The howling and rumbling of the clouds in Kae Mountains was faint but still noticeable even from the distance they stood. They had passed the mountain the day before, journeying towards the nearest village.
While they'd stopped to make camp at the mountain, the clouds hadn't rained magic. Regardless, they didn't stay long around the mountain range. Sharen didn't have the strength or will to fight Shattered Knights and he was more than sure that more had been sent to protect the area.
The female Shattered Knight, whose name he'd learned to be Zograt, still followed them. Narene had showed her displeasure towards her presence but Sharen felt there was something about the Knight that marked her out amongst her peers.
