Zograt stood on an elevated stone platform, the sight and smell around her aroused her to new heights. It was the stench of destruction, the stench of annihilation and death. They were standing in Dulhe—or the ruins that was its remains.
Dulhe had been the first village to be attacked by the Haklarans when they first fled from the Holy Capital. As she knew, a war that spanned almost half a century had taken place till the Holy Emperor had purged the demons from the Holy Capital.
The Haklarans, in their fury, had turned their attention to Dulhe and laid it to waste. The ruins still had the stench of smoke, sulphur and death and it was the smells that really captivated Zograt.
