He swirled with his swivel chair, eyes closed, enjoying the cool atmosphere, alone and probably for the time being.
There was a faint knock on his door which grated on his nerves and spoke volumes. He'd either stay seated and enjoy for a few minutes or get down to work."Rebecca is that you? "He said approaching the door, unlocked it, 'work it is' he thought. "Lemme guess... This is one of those moments where you just decide to relax and I just, and may I say... Always interrupt right?"
"Seems like it" Jayden was what girls called 'PERFECTION 'or as some would say 'The one'. Rebecca was on the other hand, 'A finely shaped woman in her mid twenties'
"I'm sorry, but according to your schedule today, you're gonna be meeting with a certain Paige Harrison and according to what I heard about her, she hates to be kept waiting". She smiled quite aware of the grin on his face.
"You mean, 'according to what you know' being that she's your best friend" he chuckled and corrected.
Rebecca just couldn't help but grasp."I don't talk like that!..."
"Okay whatever, but seriously you don't wanna be late" she sounded more serious now.
"I'll bear that in mind.... I guess" he finished flatly. She took few steps to the door and turned her head slightly to glance at Jayden over her shoulders.
"And dress formal... I'm sure she would love that" he nodded absently as she opened the door and stepped out.

She slides down her blue convertible, her hair packed in a ponytail with strands escaping the band. She's got less than two minutes to catch up with Mr. Ross and she had no plans to get rejected or take 'No' for an answer.
Before she took the stairs, she stopped and took in long desperate breaths. Finally, smiles and unconsciously arranged her hair, though the strands still ended up falling. Before she could reach for the door, it opened.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry" she said as she narrowly escaped bumping into his hard shoulders. He wore a blue suit which made his blue eyes pop.
"I'm sorry, but I'm kinda in a hurry" He said trying to avoid her. He hopped down the stairs.
"Hey! Do you know Mr. Ross?" She turned looking at him, then he stopped. "Are you the cops?" she chuckled but saw the seriousness on his face.
"No!"
"Then yes, I'm Mr. Ross Jayden...." He faced her. She was kinda tattered, her auburn wavy hair packed in a ponytail that obviously objects to the owner and a white turtle neck sweater with slacks 'seriously.... Who is this? I've seen better women'
She didn't bother to apply makeup though she seem to be a rather fascinating person.
"Any problem?" He took a step toward her. "No!" she forced a smile and tried to be polite.
She reached for his hand."I'm Amber, Dean Sebastian Amber" The handshake was brief but she guessed it was because he said he was in a hurry.
"Okay...." he was interrupted. "I'm a computer engineer, you requested my expertise" she concluded watching him closely. His thick hair kept calling her long thin fingers to come for a brush.
"Oh, right... I'm past ur appointment. You are late! You'll have to..." he was interrupted.... AGAIN!
"Oh.... No! I can't go back or set another appointment, it has to be now or never!" Jayden saw how anger flew past her eyes
'Well someone has anger issues!' He thought then cleared his throat, before he could speak....
"Look, Mr. Ross... You need me. You might think 'To hell with you!' but believe it or not I'm the best in town and outside town.... Or else you don't love the best?" she said with a grin.
"I do love the best but Mrs.... Miss...?"
"Miss" she corrected. "Miss Dean, I'm late for another appointment and its very important" he tried to explain and hoped she'd understand.
"I'm also important... This is also important!" she yelled throwing her file on him and had papers flying down the stairs, with that she left and drove out with an incredible speed showing her anger.
"I actually took 'No' for an answer... Ahhh..."she yelled and continuously hit her wheel. Jayden picked the papers quickly and entered his hatchback, kept the file at the passenger seat and zooms off. He'd have to worry about Miss Dean later.

He got to the restaurant and to his surprise, Miss Harrison had not arrived. Relieved, he secured a seat for two and just requested for water. 'Hates to be kept waiting...' he recalled Rebecca's exact words. And there she was, in an overcoat...
His features looked disappointed 'Formal she says' he thought. She took off her coat and hanged it on one arm. Underneath, she wore a blue sleeveless short dress that hugged her body right from her breasts to her hips, the rest was flare. She wore a matching boots up to her kneels leaving her thighs exposed.
Jayden stood up and went around the table, pulled out her chair, she blushed and tucked her long blonde hair at the back of her ear.
Paige smiled and reached for her linen napkin, set it on her laps and then took the menu. Watching her closely he took his,
'Well thank heavens I dressed formal, because I don't wanna be in the bad side of this cutie' he chuckled and called the waitress.
"Hey! What's up?"she said smiling. "Hmm,... What?"
"I caught you staring" she gave him a grin.
"Really? I was.... Just thankful for God's hard works" He said gesturing towards her. "So, what are you ordering?"
"Hmm... I'll go with sandwich please" the waitress took notes and waited for Jayden to order."Just get me red wine"he smiled and watched the waiter leave, then his gaze went back to Paige.
"So... I'm Jayden Ross" he said stretching his hand across the table for a handshake."I'm Paige Harrison, nice to meet you"she grinned. Their orders were served and Paige dug into her sandwich while Jayden sipped his wine,
"As you know... I was to feature you in as a model in our next program...." he paused.
"Yeah I've been told" she murmured. "I'll also want to use some attires from your boutique"
"You can count on me"she smiled."I'll like it if you sign a contract with us.... You can't be too careful" he winked and saw how her blue eyes lit.
"Sure"she giggled. They discussed a little more and finally it was over. They both strode out of the restaurant, he watched Paige slid gracefully into her red sedan car and entered his.
"Well that was a success" he said smiling to himself before he caught the sight of something from the corner of his eye (Amber's file). He's got some Miss Amber Sebastian to worry about .

It was about eight thirty in the evening, Jayden packed his car, he had gone straight to the office and Becky had given him a verbose speech on the troubles she had to face calling and canceling schedules because of his lateness.
"I hope you did not arrive late to meet Paige?" she used her name informally.
"Well...."
"No! Don't tell me..." she was interrupted. "Don't worry, I arrived late but luckily she arrived later" he grinned and saw the relief in her expression.
He has to think of a way to win Amber back. He's used to girls winning him over, how is he supposed to do otherwise.
He strode across the kitchen, opened his refrigerator and went over his cupboard, took a wine glass and poured a paint of blood from the refrigerator. Sat at the breakfast bar and gulped it down.
It took a huge ounce of restraints to be among so many people today and only drink wine. He could still taste it... Sour, he had to act natural and not ordering a thing won't look natural at all. He headed to his bedroom, sat on the bed. He took his phone and dialed a number
"Hello" he paused and waited for a response."Hi! Jayden it's past midnight, is there any problem?"
"Yeah... I want to cancel my appointments for tomorrow afternoon..." he was interrupted.
"And why is that?" she shook her head vigorously. "I want to pay a visit to Miss Amber.... The engineer, I happened to bump into her today and it was either her or Paige"
"But she missed her appointment"she said as a matter of fact. "Yes, but we need her" he whispered. It is gonna be damn hard and he knew it.
"Okay then, I'll do just that" He hung up and kept his phone on the table, tucked himself inside the duvet. Still sitting with his back on the headboard, he took out the file Amber had tossed earlier and started searching for an address and he hoped.... Hoped he'd see one, his career depended on it. 'Actually, not really! Hehe'
