~ I don't know how my life would be if I didn't meet you ~
The weekend finally came. Such a perfect time to rest and have some fun after a tiring week. Unfortunately, that didn't work for Evelyne, because she was tied with work even this weekend.
The day after tomorrow was the day she had to report her progress for the competition, so she had to work on it. Added with college's homework, she had at least five works to do. Not to mention the new team assignment she got from her lecturer, with a team of people who didn't care about anything.
After she finished with her morning routine, Evelyne sat behind her laptop in her study room. She had a discussion with Rainier and Felix regarding the electricity and components for the project. There were several details they needed to fix first before combining everything into one.
During the discussion, Evelyne felt more familiar with Rainier. They hadn't really talked yet, just discussion through chat. Yet from that, Evelyne could feel he was the same Rainier she knew. They had the same way of talking and she got the same feeling toward him. 'What am I thinking about? They're definitely different. I must be crazy if I hope he's him!' She tried to focus back on her work.
At the same time, Victor came to her apartment. When he opened the study room, Evelyne looked at him. 'Yes, I have Vict now. Why was I thinking about the past?'
"Eve?" Victor tilted his head, confused why Evelyne stared at him intensely. "Are you okay?" He walked toward her and examined her condition. He put his hand on her head, checking her temperature, then her pulse.
"Vi-Vict! I'm okay!" Evelyne moved aside, getting out from Victor's hands. "I was just startled."
Victor frowned and narrowed his eyes. "Are you sure?" Even though he got a nod from Evelyne, he was still unsure. Evelyne was the type who said no even when she was terribly ill.
Quickly, Victor took out his apparatus. "Let's just do some checkups," he said while letting Evelyne lay down on the mat. He wore his stethoscope and started examining. "Inhale… exhale… slowly…." His hand moved the stethoscope and after a while, he took it off. "Now, open your mouth and say A…" He took a flashlight to see the inside of Evelyne's mouth. "Good."
"I told you that I'm okay!" Evelyne pouted. She was about to whine and say another word, but Victor's sharp eyes stopped her and made her follow what Victor instructed.
After some basic checkup finished, Victor let Evelyne sit and continued with her work. "Never overwork yourself! Take rest regularly! When you're tired it's okay to rest and stop for a while." He advised Evelyne.
"Yeah… you say it every chance you have, Vict. I really am okay, don't worry," Evelyne answered as she looked him right in the eyes.
"You better really do it, instead of just hearing my nagging. How about you visit Raimond at the hospital?" Victor was tidying his apparatus and got ready for writing his report.
Hearing Raimond's name mentioned, Evelyne felt a bit off. "Huh? Are you sure? I never heard you asking me to visit Raimond before."
"Honestly, I don't really like him. But, I admit that he's a good doctor and the only doctor I can trust you with. So just visit him and ask him to prescribe you some vitamins."
Evelyne didn't really know what really happened between siblings in that family. All she knew was they weren't close to each other. "Alright. I will."

On the other hand, this weekend Elanor was not much different from Evelyne. She also had much work to do, making Jovan worried. This time she got a client that was hard to satisfy. That client kept asking for revision no matter how hard she had worked. As a result, she never came out from her studio for a long time. She even kept forgetting her meal (thank God she remembered her class and assignments).
This condition made Jovan worried so much. If it wasn't for him, she must have unintentionally starved herself. Couldn't hold his worry anymore, Jovan went to the kitchen and made a mug of hot chocolate.
When the hot chocolate was ready, he walked into Elanor's studio. He looked at busy Elanor who didn't even notice that he was there. "Stop for a while please." He placed the mug on the table.
"Not now, Jovan." Elanor didn't even look at him and still focused on her work.
Annoyed at being ignored like that, Jovan thought of an idea. There was one thing that Elanor was weak of, and that was a back hug. He was sure that Elanor would stop with her work if he did it.
"Elanor…" He slowly moved closer to her back. "Can you stop for a while? At least for me." He said as he circled his hand around Elanor's body from her back. "You know, I miss you."
Seemed like Jovan's trick was a success. Elanor stopped her hand and her whole body froze. "Jo-Jovan…" Elanor slowly touched Jovan's hand. Her mind went blank that she couldn't think about anything.
"Now, can you stop?" asked Jovan as he lost his hands and moved forward to look Elanor in the eyes. "The chocolate will get cold and your body is all stiff. You don't have any reason to say no."
Elanor's weakest point was actually Jovan himself, not what he was doing. If he did something this nice, there was no way Elanor could reject him. "Yes. I'll stop. Happy?" She turned her back toward Jovan and hugged him. "Now carry me!"
As Elanor asked, Jovan carried her to the big sofa. "Here." He gave the hot chocolate after he put her down. He then sat beside Elanor.
"Thank you Jovan! You're the best!" She sipped the hot chocolate and leaned her body toward Jovan. "I wonder how my life would be if I didn't meet you." She smiled as she enjoyed the warm atmosphere.
"Me either. I don't know how my life would be if I didn't meet you."
