That was the time as a young man was walking down the street, carrying a plastic bags full of snacks for his gaming session that night.
As he was happily munching a steamed bun, a foul stench comes into sense, making him froze in place and looked to the alleyway he was passing.
In there, a figure stood and seemed as if he was stabbing something with a knife. Nicole, who was scared, witnessed all that happened.
"Hey, you. Yes you, over there."
The voice of a young man echoed throughout that alley, making Nicole cold sweat.
The voice owner approached Nicole with astonishing speed and lock his neck with his arm.
Using the moon as a natural light, he looked back and saw a man, taller than him, pretty grey eyes and messy jet black hair.
Nicole was scared, but he remained calm, and looked him dead in the eyes.
"Can i help you, sir?"
That guy stare at Nicole in silence, before chuckling and ruffled Nicole's hair, then turning away.
A phone started ringing, making Nicole and the man alarmed.
Nicole hurriedly answered him and what was greeting him first thing is his friend's voice, Leo.
"Hey, Nicole! Why are you so damn late? We were waiting for you to come!" said Leo as he then lectured Nicole about being too carefree in the midst of the news.
Nicole answered him being back in a few minutes and turned around to look at that young man gone.
Is he really the mass murderer?
Nicole then hurried home and took a bath, before playing with his buddies.
As midnight shone on them, Nicole said goodbye and then went to the kitchen, before hearing some noises from next door.
It was as if someone is moving next door.
He should greet them first early next morning, Nicole thought to himself and bring out some housewarming gift for his new neighbour.
After that, he went to bed and fell into a deep slumber, not knowing what would happen tomorrow.
