Chapter 3 - Chapter III

Death can be cheap or expensive, the taste can be sweet or bitter. Death has a gold colour to the aged and a dark color to the young.

"mother! Father! Am home! Sorry I spent so much time outside and I did not tell you where I was." Something smells wrong, Ashagi noticed, as nobody answered him and he smells blood. Agashi, though not yet transformed as a full wolf, could smell things far away. He noticed some few changes after the necklace was removed from his neck, he was lucky not to have had it removed on a night of full moon else rampage would have been the story. Agashi had walked home through the bushes at twilight, listening to the birds and feeling the pleasure of summer on his new hypersensitive body. On his way, he has been worried how to tell his father and his mother about his new apprenticeship. "will they be happy? How much of talking will it take to convince them? Will I be scolded?" unanswered questions pondered his mind his mind as he walked home through the lonely path that seems to have been cursed by partial darkness.

The big wooden door was unlocked in an half opened way, the smell of freshly spilled blood pierced Agashi's nostrils. His calls was not answered and he could hear the heartbeat of one person that was not in accordance with the rhythm of a family. This stranger's heart beats faster than a normal person's, and he smells like an animal. Some steps towards his parent's room, he saw his mother's body in different fractions and next to her was his father lying in his pool of blood without his heart. Agashi moved towards the body to confirm his unbelievable sight, he waged the bodies vehemently one after the other but they were still lifeless. Agashi was still crying, knelling next to his parent's bodies when he heard the sound of someone or rather an animal coming behind him in the most calculated and slow manner. The wolf jumped over Agashi, but Agashi was alert and he ducked out of the way in an amazing speed. "How did a wolf enter this house? How can a wolf be this big?" there wasn't any time for his brain to give answers to his self-given questions. The werewolf rushed Agashi a second time and he jumped over the window and broke his knee. Agahi landed in the back yard and was struggling to stand up, but couldn't. The wolf walked slowly towards him and turned into a human.

"Your uncle will pay heavily for your head", this mysterious man told Agashi. Just immediately after the werewolf had spoken, he jumped over Agashi who still on the ground and facing up. On the air the man had changed into wolf, but he didn't land before he was thrown away by a mighty rush of wind. A witch wind had sent this mighty werewolf, hitting his back against a tree. Toshin appeared from the cover of darkness with tears in her eyes and was filled with fury. She was the strongest and oldest witch and was feared by werewolves and other witches too. Toshin had given out Agashi to her daughter when he was a boy, and he has been raised like a family. Now this demonic creature has killed her daughter, he will surely pay with his blood.

The wolf rushed after Toshin on his four legs and in the most terrifying speed, but Toshin didn't move. She stretched out her left hand, spelled the wolf and the wolf remained still, unable to move an inch. Toshin brought out her silver dagger with her right hand and moved towards the werewolf who was howling uneasily. It was a silver dagger, the wolf knew he was in danger as he won't be able to heal from the cut of a silver dagger, so he put all his effort to break out of Toshin's spell but it was too strong for him. In a swift and eyes full of tears, she sent the head of the werewolf to her feet.

Agashi had fainted when he saw the magic the witch has performed. The scariest things he had ever seen, just happened in one night. It was indeed a night of terror and magic that Agashi will live to remember.
