Chapter 52 - Eating together

Emel felt that the butterflies in his stomach had evolved into something implausible and wrecking havoc.

He broke in cold sweat.

Emel: ' What is with this awkward silence? What is with the Young Lord's face? Why do I feel like I have done something extremely wrong? '

Carseain made an expressionless face but somehow the girls had an imaginary filter which made him look like a sad, bereaved and dejected puppy. They were shooting daggers into Emel's soul with their eyes.

Emel: 'Why are all of them looking at me like that? There is no way he was going to ask us to sit and eat with him, is there?'

It is an unwritten well known and established rule that commoners cannot sit with nobles until they have their 'special' ( which has both good and bad intentions) permission. And just for the record, he is a noble with the worst reputation. No matter how friendly he has gotten with us, there is a line that we should not cross.
