Carseain: " Well, the word 'strange' doesn't necessarily mean something bad, does it? "
Rovenin : " I might not know much about the perception of our little nightmare but I'm sure it means trouble when a Doctor says it."
Whildem : " Huh? What happened? Did I trigger some trauma?
Carseain's forehead had wrinkles while Rovenin had a trouble-ridden smile.
Rovenin : " It's nothing serious. He was sulking for being called strange. "
Whildem's eyes were lost in space.
Whildem : " Well, I had no other word to describe your condition.
You see, when people awaken multiple elements, they would be in harmony with each other.
Like with water it would be Ice, wood or at the farthest earth.
Your case is like fire and water together."
Rovenin : " Wait, wasn't there a magician called Doren who had both fire and water element?"
Whildem nodded.
"That's right. However, he had the element wind and a few other elements which harmonized them.
So, it wasn't a contradiction. This is the first I'm seeing a case like this, rather than intriguing it's unsettling. "
Carseain : " I'm just special. What's so unsettling?"
Nox : ' I, so how to envy that confidence of yours. '
Whildem took a deep breath and his eyes gazed right into Carseain's.
That made the air a little tense.
Whildem: " I believe there's a disparity in your soul ."
Rovenin gritted his teeth and Nox wasn't sure what to do.
Nox : ' Okay, I think a normal person like me has tried doing his best following these geniuses, so from this point let's just pretend to understand everything.'
Carseain listened to him calmly.
Carseain : "Wow... I'm so special that I can't believe it."
Rovenin : " This is not the time to be joking, Young Master! "
Carseain : "Now, now I don't like boiled carrots so cool it, Rovenin."
Carseain intertwined his fingers and leaned forward.
" So, Doctor, you say there's a 'Disparity in my soul' and what do you make of it further ?"
Whildem : " Well, strictly speaking, it is not 'impossible' but rather 'inexplicable'. Just because it wasn't discovered doesn't mean it cannot exist."
Carseain : 'I am impressed by how open-minded he is because humans don't accept and fear what is unknown to them.
However, this man here is placidly and rationally resolving the situation. He really is a Great Doctor, given his true identity as well. '
Whildem broke the heavy air with his words in a cheerful tone,
"Well, it's not a serious problem so don't sweat it too much."
Rovenin cried out,
"What are you saying?!"
Whildem : " Now, if his soul was really harmed he wouldn't be sitting here right. One would fall into a coma if he's not dead."
Nox : ' Is the Young Master sick or not?'
Rovenin sighed heavily.
Rovenin : " Please tell me your reasoning. "
Whildem smiled.
Whildem : " You see, though the elements are not in harmony, they are also not clashing inside his body. "
Carseain : " They're independent of each other."
Whildem : " Oh?! Can you feel it ?"
Carseain : " Yep."
The Doctor raised his brow, nodding in admiration.
Nox : ' When will this end?'
Rovenin could feel his blood pressure rising yet he maintained his composure.
Rovenin : " Are you telling me this is-"
Whildem : " Have heard of the "Forest's Blessings' ?"
Whildem cut him off with a low tone yet a heavy voice.
Rovenin : " Uh...Yes, the fairy tale that Marianne's Forest blesses the kindest of souls with a part of its powers."
Whildem : "Oh, I'm surprised that you know that, it's almost an ancient text now. "
Carseain : ' You're talking to the human who became a compilation of all ancient texts that lay outside of the Forbidden Imperial Library.'
Nox : ' Sir Rovenin knows everything.'
Whildem : " But the point is...That is no fairy tale."
Whildem smiled.
They stared at him blankly.
Moments later, their eyes widened in realization.
Rovenin hit his head with his palm.
Carseain and Nox looked at him absurdly.
Nox : ' Have you ever heard of the Young Master's reputation? '
Carseain : " Have you ever heard of the young Master's reputation? - is what my Nox is thinking. "
He said glaring at Nox.
The doctor smiled yet his lips were twitching.
Whildem : " I am afraid but that is the only explanation I can give as of now."
Nox gulped.
Nox : " Deja Vu... I bet Young master can read my mind."
Carseain : " I cannot, Nox. "
He said curtly without sparing a glance.
Nox pouted.
Whildem sighed with a smile.
Whildem : " Well, blessing or not it is still a dissonant element regardless.
If you ever feel strange again please contact me right away. "
Carseain grinned.
Carseain : " I heard you were picky with your patients, why the special inclination towards me?"
Nox realized that it was true.
Nox : ' I remember hearing that some Duke searched for the doctor for 3 months when his daughter fell ill due to an unknown reason.
Apparently, it is quite hard to get in touch with him much less to get him to treat someone.'
Whildem smiled unwaveringly.
Whildem : " Any patient once placed under my care shall definitely see me until he's cured. "
Carseain looked at him with narrowed eyes but his lips were curved.
Carseain : " Should I be happy that I'm not being treated as a guinea pig ?"
Whildem turned and walked towards his desk.
Whildem : " Surely you jest, Young Master."
Carseain laughed it off.
After a pause, he started talking.
" I know you desire my body and I have no qualms giving it. "
The doctor turned back to Carseain.
He was not amused.
That was crystal clear.
Rovenin : < Just so you know, Doctor Whildem doesn't swing that way, I don't know about your preference though.>
These words were heard in Carseain's head
' Nox's telepathy.'
Carseain turned towards Nox with a glare.
He shook his head as his face cried without tears.
Nox : < It wasn't me, it was Sir Rovenin.>
Rovenin was glaring at Carseain.
His face was basically saying,
' Are you a dumb ass? '
Carseain: < If you have a fucking problem then say it! >
Rovenin turned his head away.
The Doctor observed Carseain.
Carseain quietly walked near the Monster's corpse.
" Doctor, you asked me to cast a spell again to correct the flow, is that right?"
Whildem : " It certainly is. "
Carseain stroked Paroah's buds, smiling.
Carseain : " If that was really the case, just growing one flower would also do the job yet you asked me to grow ten. Moreover, you also had a high-grade monster corpse ready.
I cannot help but think you had ulterior motives."
Rovenin observed.
Rovenin: ' That was the real reason he asked Nox when the Doctor was informed about the flowers.'
Nox : ' I thought he just wanted to gauge the abilities of manpower assigned to him as it would be a reflection of his influence in the imperial palace. '
Doctor Whildem also walked towards the corpse.
Whildem : " These Flowers are certainly hard to find. "
Carseain secretly pumped his fist.
'Yes!'
Rovenin : < The hidden meaning is that he wants you be his supplier of Paroah's flowers in exchange for whatever you want. >
A vein throbbed on Carseain's forehead.
Carseain : < Thank you for the kind explanation but I can understand that much, Mr. Smart Carrot.>
Carseain : " So, you get to examine an interesting case as well as get High-quality Paroah Flowers."
Doctor : " Well, I won't deny it being of superior quality than even the most costly ones "
Rovenin: < Since when did you become a connoisseur of herbs and plants.>
Carseain: < I was just trying a blind shot and hit the bull's eye. Lucky me, I have the upper hand in the trade now.>
Nox : < Young Master should try acting a little cute since the Doctor treats him like a cheeky brat, it might just work.>
' Young Master, please try raising your tone and the level of your cheerfulness.'
Carseain : < Nox, I can hear you , okay?>
Rovenin : < Wonderful idea.>
Nox : < Crap! What I wanted to say and what I wanted to transmit got swapped.>
' My apologies.'
Rovenin: < I see... that's what happened.>
Carseain: < Do you always think of such things?>
Nox : < Again? ...Uhh.. whatever.>
Carseain : < Don't sweat it!>
While the Doctor inspected the flowers, Carseain was thinking of giving Nox's suggestion a shot.
Carseain : ' Umm...How do you act cute anyway?'
" Well, Doctor. Don't you think we should have a fair trade? It upsets me that you have more benefits than I do."
Doctor turned to Carseain and folded his hands at the back.
Whildem: " You're one cheeky brat, ya know."
Nox : ' Told ya.'
Whildem : " I don't mind complying with you. However, I will not work under the Esselgarde banner.
I am having a hard time escaping the clutches of the Royals already."
His face looked firm.
Carseain smiled brightly.
Carseain: " Don't worry. It's not that."
Nox : ' What else could you ask from him.."
Nox clicked his tongue and looked away.
Rovenin didn't understand Nox's reason for getting sulky all of a sudden.
Whildem was intrigued by Carseain's offer.
All the nobles only ever wanted him to work under their banner to raise their influence.
Since , healing magic and Holy power's aren't always the best solutions and one needs to have an understanding of the injury as well.
Hence, Skilled Doctors are assets and Doctor Whildem is the most valuable asset among them.
However, Whildem didn't wish to be tied down.
He did not want others to choose, accept and reject his patients for stupid reasons and political purposes.
Whildem : " What do you suggest?"
Carseain : " Let's be friends! "
Frozen _Take_ 1 Whildem : " Huh?! "
Frozen _ Take_ 2 Nox : " Huh?! "
Frozen _ Take_ 3 Rovenin : " Huh?! "
