The next day, Rovenin was pumped up to see the results of his endeavours.
However, he needed some hands-on experience before actually pulling off the feat. First, He went and felt the magic circuits of small plants and trees. Then he moved on to animals, which was also easy.
But, the magic circuits of a human body are far more complicated and sophisticated than that of animals as humans, unlike others, use magic at a higher level.
He went to the underground basement and asked for some dead bodies from the 'clean up' department. The Assassins that were sent after the Marquis would always fail and kill themselves or some fugitives that needed to be taken care of silently. Thus, there were always quite a few bodies in their possession. They were any way to be sent for medical research to the hospitals owned by the Esselgardes. There was no official count kept for these as everything was done under wraps. The 'clean up's were a little reluctant to show such a horrendous sight to the child.
Little did they know that Rovenin's tolerance for such things exceeded theirs, who are professionals.
When living beings die, the life force also returns to nature immediately. However, that is not the same case with Magic. It takes a considerable amount of time for magic to return to its natural state. After death, there is always residual magic left stagnant in the magic circuit. It was because of this residual magic that the Nightmare Insignia was able to help the guild even locate the dead bodies of their members.
After a few trials and errors, Rovenin was able to do it perfectly.
Magic circuit tampering.
Thus, the 13-year-old genius achieved his first ground-breaking feat so that his younger brother would stop pestering him.
However, Rovenin's struggle was far from over. His last concern was that even if he pulled it off perfectly,
Will Carseain be able to feel it properly? Also, theoretically, this method is proven to be safe ( He proved it himself). Nevertheless, the reality isn't based on books and papers. This is something Rovenin knew perfectly. Despite Rovenin's concern and Johann and Ron's opposition to this method, He couldn't call it off. All because Carseain and his mother, the Marchioness, were too hyped up for it.
Carseain: " Foxy, why do we have to do it tomorrow? Can't we do today?"
Rovenin smiled awkwardly.
Rovenin: " I still need time to prepare (my heart that is)."
Marchioness: " If you feel so worried about Carseain then you can try it on me first."
Carseain roared.
Carseain: " Mom! we decided I'd go first as it was made for me and you also lost the gamble."
Rovenin smiled warmly.
Rovenin: ' I feel like they have more confidence in me than I have in myself. They don't even doubt I'd fail.'
She clicked her tongue.
Marchioness: " Tch...look at this kid bragging about winning a gamble, I wonder who raised you like this."
Carseain: " It's you, Mom."
They were sitting in a room enjoying their tea, while Johann slammed the door open.
Johann: " Neira! What were you thinking about taking a child to a gambling parlour! "
Askaneira was subtly sipping tea.
Askaneira: " What's so wrong? We needed to bet, so I took him to the place where bets are placed."
Rovenin: ' When Sian said gamble, I thought it must have been some heads and tails bet, to think she'd take him to a parlour. Talk about savage. '
Rovenin took a bite of a cookie.
Johann : " That's not the problem. "
Cough...cough...
Rovenin choked on his tea.
Rovenin: 'Then what's the problem? '
Carseain: "Carrot-Bro you okay?"
Rovenin smiled and nodded
Johann: " If your bet was to leave the parlour in ravages then take the knights with you, not a kid. "
Carseain: " I won the bet after I defeated BBB. They even called me a hero!"
Rovenin: "What's BBB, Sian?'
Carseain: "Big Boss Baldie."
Rovenin: ' Another terrible nickname, I see. '
Askaneira : " Well, actually I was going for a normal gamble but when I saw that BBB was cheating the commoners, I couldn't stay still.
Besides, I had Bertha with me. So, it's fine. "
Johann sighed.
Johann : " Well, I guess it's fine. I was planning on getting rid of it anyway. What bet caused all that anyway? "
Askaneira averted her eyes while Carseain beamed.
Carseain: " It was to defeat Baldie and his goons. Whoever hits Baldie first, wins. "
Johann and Rovenin stared daggers in her soul.
Rovenin: 'No matter how you look at it, it was an unfair gamble totally to her advantage. It's a miracle that Sian won.'
Johann : ' Looking at Sian it seems he doesn't know that.'
Carseain: " Even though I had an advantage, it is fair that I won because no one else felt his presence while he was running away. "
Rovenin tilted his head and asked.
Rovenin: "Sian, just what 'advantage' did you have?"
Carseain : " You didn't realize? Mom was actually in a heavy dress where she couldn't fight properly. So, that should be enough of a handicap for me, right?"
Carseain had a smug look on his face.
Rovenin: 'What utter bullshit! If anything I'd say that she has a fetish for swinging her sword in dresses. Just how much did she lie to a kid?'
Johann shook his head.
Johann : ' I guess I'll have to teach him a thing or two about women so that he doesn't get duped again.'
While his wife elegantly sipped tea.
_______
Rovenin and Carseain went to the far edge of the estate. No servants were allowed to roam there on that day.
Askaneira and her escort guard Dame Bertha were watching over them.
Ron was worried but he had to go with the Marquis to attend a Royal Council.
Carseain sat on the grass while Rovenin placed his hand at his back. He told Carseain to breathe slowly and let his magic flow naturally.
Rovenin inserted his magic into Carseain's Magic Circuit. There was no resistance. Carseain's body was subconsciously accepting his magic.
Rovenin : " I knew it was possible if there was deep trust between the two and their magic was highly compatible. But I did not expect to experience it on my first try.
Nevertheless, it does make things easier. "
While Carseain chanted the whole spell, Rovenin's magic traced it.
After he finished, Rovenin made his magic flow in an identical way.
Rovenin : " Sian, Feel this flow, this is what I was talking about.
Once you know how your body works with Magic you'll be able to cast any spell without a chant."
Carseain heard him and focused on it.
Askaneira stepped forward with a huge smile.
Askaneira : " Now, it's my turn!
Ah... I'm sorry I got too excited. Do you need to rest, Rovey? "
Rovenin cringed.
Rovenin: " Well, I think I need a rest from that nickname."
Askaneira pouted.
Askaneira : " You and your father, both are such stuck-up men. Rovey and Ronny are such cute names. "
Rovenin : " You and your son, both have terrible naming sense."
She hugged Rovenin tight.
Askaneira : " Why are you speaking like a stranger?
You are the only child of my beloved maid Vienna. Though she was my maid, we loved each other no less than sisters.
Thus, you are my son too."
Rovenin was flushed red and looked away.
Rovenin : 'She keeps repeating that every chance she gets.'
" Alright, now sit down like Carseain and breathe slowly. "
Askaneira smiled slyly.
"My eldest such a shy boy~~"
Rovenin pouted.
" Who are you calling a shy boy ?"
Rovenin repeated the process for the Marchioness.
However, this time there was a lot of Resistance.
This was normal. It's just that Carseain's case was special.
Rovenin took twice the time he needed in the case of Carseain.
Rovenin: ' It seems that she's also suffering quite a bit.
As expected, Sian is the strange one to pull it off like that.'
After Rovenin finished, the Mother and son pair side by side sat for hours getting used to the flow.
They started when the sun was above their heads and now it was setting.
It was getting very dark.
Rovenin simply sat by their side monitoring their conditions and correcting any anomalies.
Rovenin : ' Both of them are too stubborn.'
The Marchioness slowly opened her eyes.
She was sweating profusely. Her breathing became heavy.
She stood up.
"Ah...damn! I almost had it. "
Rovenin giggled.
Rovenin : " That's perfectly normal. If you had pulled it off in a couple of hours, I'd be doubting who's the real genius."
Askaneira: " Well, okay. Huff...Huff."
Suddenly, Carseain walked between them.
They all flinched.
Askaneira: 'I didn't feel his presence behind me!'
Carseain held out his hand in the middle of the air.
For a brief moment, there were bluish-purple sparks at a distance from his palm.
It was electricity.
Rovenin gasped.
Rovenin: " Sian..."
Carseain eyes were fixated on his hand.
However, Rovenin knew that he was seeing something that would remain unknown to them.
Gradually, the tiny blue sparks transformed into colossal purple and violet thunder.
" Beautiful "
Askaneira mumbled.
Carseain's Magic lit up the dark sky with hues of blue , white, lavender and purple reflected into his Mother's eyes.
A big smile crossed her lips
" Looks like my son beat me to it ."
