Given their history with Martha, Rovenin could not easily accept the elder chef's warning. However, he could not even dismiss it entirely as he was not a person to talk with based on his gut. Rovenin did find it weird as to how Martha managed to stay unscathed.
Rovenin: ' Once, Sian returns with Sina, I can bet all my magic stones that he'll turn the whole mansion upside down. I'll have to get a hold of all the servants on the current Marchioness's side 'cause once they realise she'll be losing authority, it'll be hard to weed them out. '
Rovenin sighed.
'How ironic is this! The Esselgardes have their spies planted in almost every prominent noble's house but our own estate is a mess.
No wonder Dow ( the shadow squad leader) insisted on having the shadow work only out of the mansion and even shifted the headquarters to a bar, even though he hated those cliched places.'
