Decisions made, I would make the offer to leave here for the Quarry from TWD. I'd had supplies stashed there incase that was what I chose to do but only really enough for a couple dozen people for a few weeks at best.
Eventually I finally noticed Hanna basically crawling out of her car looking around frantically not really understanding what she was seeing, dead bodies everywhere. "Hey Olivia, a lady just got out of the same car as the kids. Looks alive." I could hear her moving towards the window to see what I was looking at. Then she yelled at the woman. "Lady your kids are here and safe!" She basically bellowed in her surprisingly loud voice.
Her head snapped in our direction and she began to hobble towards us still disoriented probably but hearing her kids were there she powered through even in this circumstance.
"If the doors locked can you go let her in and bring her to the kids?" She agreed and quickly went down the stairs and opened the door.
After a quick look around the area I decided I was done for the moment as there was nothing moving that I could see anymore. It only took 7 magazines worth of nearly all headshots to clear the general area. With that I lowered my gear into the bed of the truck and went down the ladder just enough to simply crawl inside the window. "Hey kiddos" I tell them as Hannah and Olivia walk in.
They both basically ignore me and flash over to their mother like a shot. "Why did you leave the car Jamie?!" She asked the little girl while hugging them both. "I thought you were dead mommy!" The girl basically cry's out.
After the heartfelt reunion Hannah finally looks up at me. I can already see the questions in her eyes so I cut her off before it happens. First I have to ask Olivia a few things anyways. "Olivia, did you lock the door behind y'all?" She just gave me a goofy salute and a yessir and a raised eyebrow that's asking if I think she's an idiot. I just sigh.
"Can you explain what you have seen already and what I have already told you while I keep a watch out?" She agrees easily enough.
A few minutes later with a look of disbelief as she looked out at the street and at me in slight fear, not sure if it's of me or what's going on. "You and your children are obviously free to do whatever you want but I shouldn't need to tell you how unsafe it is out there and I'm not planning to stick around here for much longer. Also if you decide to do your own thing I would avoid the so called safe zones. I'm not even sure if they realize that you don't need to be bitten to turn into those things, if you die from anything, heart attack or some other sickness, you will come back as one of those monsters." She just looks so undecided. I know she has an ex husband near here but I don't actually know their relationship.
After a few moments of hesitation and looking at her kids she made her choice. "Can we stay with you for now?" She asked biting her lower lip. Olivia didn't even wait a second and said she would also like to travel together to find a safe place when I decide to leave here.
I guess I should take the time to mention that yes, I noticed the extreme resemblance that Olivia had to the beautiful actress Nina Dobrev and it did make me wonder if I was being trolled by whoever sent me here.
"There is a Quarry a few hours from here, it should have everything needed, I also stashed supplies there when my doctor friend told me things were going to shit all around Europe and that it would spread here eventually also, well I guess it's here already. I was thinking about picking up as many people as we could get to come with us but I'm not sure how to go about it." I tell them with a sigh. I have never really wanted to be a leader of anything, I'm not really comfortable with being such as I barely like being responsible for myself. I simply want to be comfortable and a bigger community provides that more than a tiny group.
After that we sat in silence for a while, I went back outside and started taking pop shots at walkers again. Trying to keep the area clear for when we move. Eventually I hear a shotgun at who I'm guessing is their gun toting neighbor and I also see Judy run out of that house covered in blood but doesn't look bitten. I'm guessing things happened differently with my interferences? Maybe he still got bit and killed by the brats and she pulled a rabbit? Idk but the girls both yelled her over and eventually a walker came out of the door she fled from which I took out and waited for more.
I sighed internally. That's a lot of blood not to be hers since she most certainly didn't kill any of them. I told them that of course but Hanna most likely won't want to kill her Exs fiancé or wife or whatever they were or maybe she hates her? Will just have to separate her if she is bitten.
