Chapter 3 - Chapter 2 The painful truth. I

After shopping and stopping for dinner, by the time they got home, it was almost 8 p.m. The two young women helped each other carry things from the trunk of the car and put them on the kitchen table.

"Next month, the company has a long holiday; will you go home?" Tharatchanan asked as she put away things.

"Ahh... The long holiday starts today and continues until I can find a new job," the woman replied, taking out the things she bought and putting them in the refrigerator.

"Don't tell me you can't get along with your co-workers."

"No, all my co-workers are good. But travel far. The work is hard, and the money is little," the woman said, letting out a loud sigh. "When you work late, you know that even on holidays, sometimes you still must go in and collect the results of the experiments that you have left over. It's tiring, and I would like to work in a higher position."

"Have you told your mother yet?"

Ladapha immediately shook her head. "I guarantee they will order me home."

Tharatchanan smiled and laughed when he heard the answer. Of course, she knows the personality of her younger sister, who doesn't like going back to work at a resort in her hometown. Because she must deal with unpredictable guests, including her.

"But you can't just sit and sleep like this without finding a job."

Ladapha looked up and smiled with pleading eyes.

"OK, I promise you I'll find a new job quickly."

Sigh... Tharatchanan's sigh sounded again. She squinted at his younger sister, who blinked at her.

"Oh, my savings will run out because of you."

"So cute!" she said sweetly. She walked in and hugged her elder sister tightly. Before loosening her arms and giving a sweet smile. Tharatchanan looked at her sister and shook his head before walking out of the kitchen. Only Ladapha stood there, smiling with happiness and relief. At least I won't be home for a while.

She wants to go completely crazy.

Ladapha cursed inwardly as she leaned back on the back of the chair. After waiting for several days for emails from various companies, as of now, there is still no response. She raised her hand and ruffled her shoulder-length brown hair. One hand reached out and picked up the snack that was on the table and ate it because she was still waiting for the email. But she cannot leave it unemployed for several months. Because her sister might chase you home for sure.

The young woman sighed as she scrolled through posts and updates, including the wistful ramblings of her old classmates. With a reluctant resolve, she pushed herself up from the computer screen. It seemed unlikely that a reply from the companies she had applied to would arrive anytime soon.

Ladapha stepped out of her bedroom and into the kitchen to find a snack. Yet, her sighs echoed at least ten times as she walked back to her seat in front of the computer, resuming her previous spot. Suddenly, the sound of an email notification broke through the silence. Without hesitation, she clicked to open it. As her eyes scanned the content, the once sullen expression on her beautiful face melted into a bright smile.

Ladapha stepped out of her bedroom and into the kitchen to grab a snack, letting out a series of sights at least ten of them-before returning to her computer desk. Just as she settled back in her seat, the notification chime of an incoming email broke the monotony. Without a second thought, she opened it immediately. As her eyes scanned the message, a glowing smile replaced the somber look on her beautiful face.

"Yes! Finally!" she exclaimed in excitement, jumping up and dancing as though she had just won the lottery. Although the email wasn't a job offer yet, the invitation to interview at such a prestigious company was a cause for celebration. It was a major firm with an impressive marketing reach both domestically and internationally, and its employee benefits were exceptional.

Heaven has finally smiled upon me!

Overwhelmed with joy, Ladapha spent several moments basking in her happiness before dashing toward her wardrobe. She eagerly began inspecting outfits suitable for her interview scheduled for next Tuesday. Ten minutes passed and her entire closet had been emptied, yet she still couldn't find the perfect outfit. Frustrated, she sighed and started putting everything back in its place.

"I'll just buy a new one. Maybe it'll bring me good luck for this job," she muttered to herself, grabbing a fresh set of clothes and hurrying into the bathroom.

After finishing her shower, the sound of her phone ringing drew her attention. She picked it up, glanced at the caller ID, and promptly answered the call.

"What's up, sis?" Ladapha answered cheerfully.

"I'll be home late today. Planning to have dinner with Art," her sister replied on the other end.

"Perfect timing! I was about to head out to buy a few things anyway," Ladapha said.

"Alright then, just make sure you lock the door."

"Got it!" she replied in a sing-song tone before hanging up.

Ladapha set her phone aside, quickly applied some makeup, grabbed her bag, and left her room in a rush.
