"You want to escape now? Isn't it a little late?" Morty questioned coldly.
Before Andrew could answer, the door of the private room was pushed open again. The manager walked in with a few policemen.
"Mr. Policeman, it was this scum who drugged this beautiful lady's wine!" The manager said indignantly.
Sue, who was shocked by Morty's flurry of movements, came back to her senses and handed the wine glass in her hand to the police.
The police took Andrew away, together with the wine glass and the video as evidence.
After Andrew left, Morty walked up to Sue and sized her up. He asked with concern, "Sue, are you okay?"
"I'm fine! But how did you know that I was in danger?" Sue shook her head and asked doubtfully.
"I happened to pass by!" Morty spread out his hands as he said, looking like it was purely a coincidence.
"That's not true! He clearly received a wrong message from his fiancée. Someone immediately left work and rushed here without stopping! But fortunately, he came and that's why..." The manager was silent at the end of his sentence.
He had no choice. Morty had given him a cold warning!
"Morty, thank you!" Sue was really grateful in her heart, but the more grateful she was, the less she could say anything earth-shattering.
"I've said it before, there's no need to stand on ceremony between us! As for you, at such a dangerous moment, the first thing you thought of was actually just a small special assistant? Hmm?" Morty reached out and rubbed Sue's hair as he spoke, but his tone was inexplicably sour.
"I didn't think too much at that time, but fortunately you came!" Sue said, and couldn't help but reach out to hug Morty.
How could she say that? Actually, she knew that Morty was busy with work, so she was afraid that he would worry!
But sometimes, there were many things that seemed to be arranged by God, so that's why the wrong text message was sent.
"Little fool!" Morty had no kind words, but his hands tightly hugged Sue in his arms.
It was a perfect illustration of what it meant to have a sharp tongue but a soft heart!
When the manager saw this, he shook his head repeatedly.
If it wasn't for the fact that he was afraid of leaving behind evidence, his manager would have taken a photo and frozen Morty's intoxicated face!
Shrugging his shoulders, his manager silently left the room.
The moment the door closed, he heard Morty remind Sue worriedly, "Oh right Sue, I saw Catherine when I came. Andrew's drug was given by her!"
"What?" It was Catherine again!
Sue didn't understand. How did she offend Catherine? Did she need to be ruthless again and again?
"She must be crazy! Sue, with such a ticking time bomb, you must inform me in advance if you do anything dangerous in the future, okay?" Morty said very seriously.
He was afraid that Sue wouldn't take it seriously. He was worried about Sue's safety!
"Okay!" Sue nodded obediently.
Seeing this, Morty reached out and gently scratched Sue's nose. Just as he was about to lower his head and kiss her, the door of the private room was suddenly pushed open from the outside.
He turned his head speechlessly. When Morty saw his manager's untactful face, he thought in his heart, 'how did such a senseless person become a manager? When he goes back, I will punish him with half a month's salary!'
"Morty, I didn't do it on purpose, I promise! It's just that the police just called and said that Andrew put a powdered euthanasia drug in the drink!" When he met Morty's cold eyes, his manager shrunk his head and braced himself.
"Euthanasia drug? What does this Catherine want to do?" Morty growled in a low voice.
But he felt a lingering fear in his heart.
He didn't dare to imagine that if he hadn't come, then Sue...
"Let's go and confront Catherine right now. She's so young and yet vicious, we shouldn't tolerate her!" Morty said as he pulled Sue's wrist and walked out.
"No, Morty! Since Catherine is targeting me, I want to settle it myself!" Sue said seriously.
"But she's too dangerous, I'm worried about you!" Morty said anxiously.
"Don't worry, I won't be soft-hearted towards Catherine anymore. I'll let her know what it means to provoke the wrong person!" Sue snorted coldly.
