But Sue could understand. Sallie was a kind soul, she probably never thought that Catherine would harm others?
"I'm sure Sue is telling the truth. I prepared the medicine for Sue just now!" Morty echoed Sue.
Sallie's expression turned cold when she heard this and said, "I was careless. The hospital has the most advanced component analyzer. I'll take it to test it now. The results will be out within half an hour!"
After Sallie finished her sentence, she took the medicine bottle and walked out of the ward.
She was kind, but when it was related to Sue's safety, she should be more cautious.
Seeing this, Catherine was dumbfounded.
Perhaps she was afraid that the matter would be exposed and she would be involved in a lawsuit. Without thinking, she turned around and wanted to escape, but she was blocked by Morty, who was swifter and fiercer than her.
"Catherine, I have never hit a woman, but how dare you touch Sue?" As if Catherine had overstepped her boundary, Morty stretched out his hand and slapped Catherine's face!
"Slap!" A loud sound resonated throughout the entire ward.
Sue's heart was touched as she subconsciously looked at Morty. She didn't expect Morty to hit a woman for her.
At the side, Catherine covered her face with one hand. Her eyes were filled with tears as she asked pitifully, "Morty, you hit me? You actually hit me because of that sickly Sue?"
But in return, Morty slapped her on the other side of her face.
"Catherine, a trashy woman like you doesn't deserve to comment on Sue!" Morty said domineeringly.
"But I did it all for you! Do you plan to stay by the hospital bed for the rest of your life?" Catherine was clearly wrong, but she didn't realise her mistake at all. Instead, she screamed at the top of her lungs.
Sue, who was watching from the side, couldn't help but shake her head. This Catherine looked as if she had done something great to Morty and it made Sue feel amazing.
"You think what you said justify? For someone like you, maybe we can only let the police teach you how to behave!" Morty said coldly. He took out his phone from his trouser pocket and was about to call the police, but Sue stopped him.
"Morty, let's wait for the results of the examination, so that we can explain to the police when we get all the evidence!" Sue's brows suddenly furrowed as she spoke with an uncomfortable expression.
"Sue, what's wrong? Are you alright?" Morty rushed to Sue and asked worriedly.
"It's a little painful!" Sue said softly as she secretly glanced at Catherine.
Catherine seized the opportunity as she hurriedly opened the door and ran away.
"Where does it hurt?" Morty asked anxiously.
It doesn't hurt anywhere!" Sue smiled when she saw Morty's concerned expression.
"Kitten, How can you joke about your own body? You don't know how worried I am!"
Morty gently tapped Sue's forehead with his finger as a punishment for lying to him.
"Alright, alright, I know I'm wrong! But if I didn't say that, how would Catherine have the chance to escape!" Sue looked as if she knew it all.
"Why did you let Catherine go? Although we don't know what medicine Catherine brought, but after thinking about it, we know that it's definitely not something good. Sue, you're undoubtedly imposing a danger to yourself in the future!"
Hearing Sue's words, Morty said helplessly.
"I know! But she's my mother's biological niece. If we hand her over to the police, it would undoubtedly sour the relationship between mom and her biological sister, Cynthia Baldwin!" Sue replied.
How could she not know that a vicious person like Catherine would be hard to guard against in the future?
But she didn't want to make her mother sad, so she promised that this was the last chance she would give Catherine.
Facing such a kind Sue, Morty was both angry and heartbroken.
He was angry at Sue's kindness, making those scoundrel feel that she was easy to bully.
It was also Sue's kindness that made Morty feel heartbroken, but this kindness made Su shine as a whole person!
"Don't worry, I'll be more cautious in the future!" Seeing that Morty didn't speak, Sue reached out and grabbed Morty's hand, behaving coquettishly unconsciously.
