Chapter 3 - Running Into A Prince Charming

"I'm cold-blooded? Everyone, if you can still say these words after listening to this recording, I'll give her my blood right now!" Sue said as she swiped her phone, turned on the recording to the maximum volume.

Lily's voice came from the recording. "Mom, didn't you teach Sue a lesson? That b*tch didn't even look at her own status, how could she dare to be so rude to Mom?"

...

A series of words shocked everyone present.

They really didn't dare to imagine that such vulgar language and scheming would come from the seemingly weak Lily.

What was even more shocking was that Shelley, this foster mother, actually treated Sue as a blood transfusion machine.

For a moment, those people, who had told Sue to have a blood transfusion, suddenly switched and all sided with Sue, scolding Shelley and her daughter to no end.

Lily, who had thought that victory was within her grasp, fainted from the scolding by those people.

"Lily!" Shelley was shocked by this scene. She glared at Sue and pushed Lily out of the hotel.

On the way to the hospital, Shelley was not idle either. As she drove, she embellished Charles on the phone, listing Sue's crimes one by one.

"Charles! Look at what we have raised. I've raised her for so many years, but I've never asked her to do anything for me. This time, I have no choice. Our daughter needs her blood. I know she won't be willing to give Lily more blood, but Lily just fainted. What if something happens? If we hide her..."

"I don't think that's a good idea!" Charles was a little hesitant about Shelley's instigation, and this idea was no different from kidnapping.

"Then do you have the heart to watch your own daughter die?" Seeing that Charles didn't say anything, Shelley asked a fatal question.

"Then I'll listen to you!" Charles gritted his teeth and nodded his head ruthlessly.

He knew that Shelley was just a little short-tempered, but she was wholeheartedly good to her daughter.

"Okay, then how about this..." Shelley told Charles about the plan that she had prepared long ago.

When Charles heard the plan, he even praised Shelley from time to time.

After the banquet ended, Sue had just returned home when she saw her foster father, Charles. He was carrying a cup of hot tea, walking towards her.

"Sue, I've heard about the banquet. I'm sorry that you've been wronged." Charles said as he handed the tea to Sue.

"Dad, I'm fine!" Sue just smiled and took the teacup from Charles.

Although Sue was very angry with Shelley and her daughter, she was not guarded against Charles.

"Then drink the tea, take it as you've accepted my apology."

"Okay," Sue finished the tea in one gulp, she was not guided against him.

As Sue finished her drink, Charles finally revealed his true self.

"Sue, I was forced to do it. As long as you listen to me and give a little blood to Lily, I will always be good to you. Besides, I love you..."

As long as Sue drank this cup of tea, they could imprison Sue and use her as a blood transfusion machine.

"Dad, what did you put in my tea?" Sue felt that her father's tone was not right and immediately ran out with a vigilant look.

"Sue, stop! Stop right there! If you don't listen to me, Don't blame me for hitting you."

Outside the door, the heavy rain that had fallen at some point in time had drenched Sue's heart.

She should not have been soft-hearted, and she should not have believed that her soft-hearted father would really treat her well in such a home.

Behind her, Charles was chasing after her step by step, holding a belt in his hand.

"Damn it!"

If she could escape this calamity, she would be back to take revenge!

Wiping the rain off her face, Sue looked back as she ran. Seeing that her foster father was about to catch up, Sue decisively rushed into a crowd of people who were holding umbrellas.

Morty did not expect that someone would sneak under his umbrella when he came out to take a breather without informing his manager.

He saw that it was a pitiful woman with a pale face.

"You..."

"Don't talk. Take me away."

The woman's voice was firm as she looked behind her warily.

Morty was slightly taken aback as he smiled and said, "Pitiful lady, I can save you if you want, but you need to repay me."

After saying that, his gaze fell on Sue.

At this moment, her clothes were already drenched. Due to the urgency of the situation, she was still wearing the gown from the banquet. It stuck tightly to her body under the rain, giving Sue's voluptuous figure a vivid outline.

"Take me with you. I don't care where you want me to go, and I don't care what you want me to do."

"Sure." Morty smiled happily.

Today's trip was worth it!
