Chapter 6 - Negotiations...

Morgan looked at her in awe. Few wolves could stand up to him or thwart his will. The woman had stubbornly ignored him. Only now he was delusional. He had Kassuim facing enemies with typical female recklessness.

-Do you intend to start the war, woman?- he stared at her in amazement.

-Do you believe that?

-Damn it, Cassie. The Armada...

-Muir and neither Gazarra. The Corsair Armada. belongs to the wolves!

-And what do you intend...?

- Well, do something, anything! He's the alpha of the pack. A commodore, come on!

Her wolf nature had simply surfaced without any warning. She didn't block any thoughts from her, letting him glimpse unreservedly how to please her and what she wanted. That would leave him consumed with lust.

-Richard! - Kassuim groaned, biting his lips. She felt him buried deep in her body, inch by inch. Moving. Non-stop and at a pace that took her breath away.

-Do you still want to run away from me or leave? he asked suddenly serious and immobile. Let's be clear. Enough of the damn arguments with Corner or Thalagar. I will resolve the situation. At least he has the notion that he could have castrated the damned thing.

Cassie glared at him.

-I missed the aim!- the answer revealed disappointment.

She whimpered restlessly. Hot and body shaking. It was quite true that he had every reason to be angry, very irritated and complaining throughout the night. She tried without much success to disguise the bluish spots that were starting to stand out on her fair skin with a grumble. It would only increase his anger.

-Yea. Not! She shivered with the kisses on his face. The man kissed her again in one of those endless kisses that left her dizzy. He was an alpha showing all his power and strength.

-Yes or No? – he insisted attentively.

He knew Kassuim was confused. Personality changes were a problem. Of course, the woman was pissed off, short-lived and didn't take lightly to teasing. He was going to have to find a way to undo James' damned spell. His feminine mouth was hot and teasing. They explored each other slowly. Morgan wanted more than a kiss. More than a promise. Kassuim was so drowned in his kisses that she protested again with a whimper when he stopped.

- I won't run away anymore. If I find Mayra...

- Mayra is not my wife. - He was serious and firm.- There is a past. I can't change it...

She sighed.

-No, Captain. – Kassuim shook his head teasingly. I will not run away from you. But still...

The man smiled and caressed her breast. She panted wanting more.

-I'm with you, aren't I? - Richard asked very seriously.

The situation with Mayra made him stressed. They were very different. And the thing about opposites attracting didn't work well in practice. Mayra was always too independent. She never depended on him. She did not generally listen to their comments and opinions and decided everything herself. With Cassie, he expected a different kind of life. He hated the way Mayra always left him on standby and not knowing quite what to expect. Hell, he was a man. It was only to be expected that his wife would need him.

He also knew of her hurt at being away from the Armada, but that made all the difference. He made the decisions. It was a delicate situation that required quick decisions. Keeping Kassuim at bay while the plague advanced... had seemed the most logical thing to do than leaving her in the middle of fights that only endangered her. It had taken a lot of diplomacy and tact and even more, patience to make the right contacts to protect his woman.

He knew she was struggling, but his situation wasn't so different. Appearances. He needed to convince everyone that she meant nothing to him with the trouble that surrounded her. He was a lot safer as the Council always paid too much attention to the woman. She was his fragile target for him. He couldn't defend himself knowing that he faced enemies and that Kassuim was within reach of people who didn't like him.

Of course, she was too stubborn. Genius. And the burst type. It would not be diplomacy that he would use to defend himself, much less to attack. The whole situation with Philip required tact due to the investigations by the authorities into the allegations of fraud in the smuggling of merchandise and the traffic of white slaves that his brother maintained with Garro.

-I didn't provoke that much!

Richard ran his hands through his hair sceptically. Had he not provoked so much? Philip burned with absolute fury. He just hadn't approached because of the authorities who had kept the woman safe conduct so that she would be safe. Of course, working in the Garro tavern didn't please him, however, he had the right knowledge and men on standby with orders to act under the dangers that the woman ran.

-Didn't provoke? The part of the bum, sucker, thief, miserable, knight, swindler and...

Cassie heard the best ad list quality chosen in their moments of rage. Okay. Perhaps, just a little bit. The unfortunate man was really miserable. He had stolen your money. He was nothing more than a common petty thief who had different ownership from the ragged men who ran around the port.

-And me...

"Didn't you think Phil had influential friends who were going to make your life miserable, woman?"

-His brother is a damn...

- You're crazy, Cassie. The disease...

-I don't care if he's sick, or even if he's dying...-she stubbornly crossed her arms. Are there any chances of him at least dying quickly?

Richard sighed. Could he really blame the woman? Phil wasn't exactly the type of person to be charismatic or to have friends with after his fame had passed through the harbour. He was full of debts and collectors... Of course, there were people from above chasing his brother because of his dishonesty and mess.

-Captain?! Oh, you're not really a good sailor. Doesn't know how to obey orders. - He sighed. I think with you I'd make exceptions and be able to spank that pretty ass for disobeying me, wolf. Again?

The comment made Cassie stare at him dumbfounded and a little embarrassed. Remember the episode's extract...

-That's really cheating. And the ugly ones, captain.

-Wolf. I can do that if you're still so mad over a damn nickname. Let's go. Phil knew he was going to piss her off with that. And he did. You know the trouble it took to convince the authorities of the whole thing...

-Your brother is... is...

-I already had the opportunity to hear the list of the best qualities you could find in Phil, a woman. The whole point is... I don't want you picking fights or taking the shit out of that madman.

-But...

-But nothing. The two of us... Let's get out of here at the first opportunity.

Or take me hunting. And who knows...

Richard chuckled as he arched an eyebrow. It was heavenly to see her less defensive after so many hardships had been faced. The woman was a complete and eager wolf. He intended much more than hunting. He took her face in his hands, bringing it close to his. He was going to make her delirious.

-I'll take her hunting. - He swore enchanted. – You are really insatiable. I'll do more than hunt with you, honey.
