Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: Chromatic Machine!

As curious as he is, how could Myah let go of this exciting opportunity?

After making up his mind, he gleefully announced, "Sister Elena, I want to use the Chromatic Ticket. So, where is it? I want it."

Elena shook her head, "Your Chromatic Ticket was automatically saved like a record into the magic formation on your Adventurer Card once it was first produced. Let me borrow it for a moment."

"Oh, here!"

"Alright, follow me. Big sister will teach you how to use it."

Elena took the Adventure Card, stood up from her seat, and walked toward the left side of the hall, where a substantial fashionable-looking machine was situated.

...

Approximately five-meter long and three meters tall, the Chromatic Machine looked like a cylindrical tube of unknown translucent purple crystal.

One cannot judge its outer appearance and assume the space inside corresponds to what they see.

With the principle somewhat similar to a storage tool, the space inside was massive.

The transparency was just reasonable, which only allows one to see the various spheres of light inside, but this, too, is only the tip of the iceberg!

Furthermore, there were intricate mechanisms, and mysterious formation prevents anyone from cheating, leaving things entirely up to chance to get a reward.

Well, it's not like anyone would dare to cheat one of the few top-tier power of the continent.

As for those poor souls who worked up the gut and courage to do so, whether they succeed or not, no one ever seen again.

They just..., disappeared overnight.

...

After Elena explained to Myah how to use the Chromatic Machine, she quickly returned his Adventurer Card and went back to the receptionist counter.

Many Adventurers are still waiting in line, and she couldn't leave her station for too long.

Holding his Adventurer Card tightly, Myah clasped his hand together and murmured thoughtfully,

"Please be something good, and if it's not something good, something awesome would also do...Oh dear Sacred Tree, Gods, Angels, Buddhas, Demons, Devils, Grandfather, please bless me..."

"Pfft!" Mu Suyin couldn't help but laugh,

"Haha, hurry up now.

"We still have to go to the smithy later today and get you a weapon for training. Seriously, you have been praying for ten minutes now. Even Bumpkin is already getting impatient."

She didn't have any high hope about Myah's chance of winning something decent.

While Chromatic Ticket was popular among the Adventurers' circle, it was also considered a cursed taboo that eats them to the bone.

Most Adventurers treated this as a form of entertainment since the chance of one winning a decent prize was low, and the likelihood of one getting something precious was even lower.

It was pretty pricey for the price of 50 low-grade Spirit Stones per Ticket and couldn't be afforded by the majority so casually.

"I... wait, wait for me to chant a little bit longer. I promise."

"..."

Sigh!

A while later, when he finally felt that the time had come, Myah carefully swiped his Adventurer Card through the Chromatic Machine with great care.

His face was full of expectation. "Lalala, I wonder what I will get. Grandma, what do you think I will get? The biggest prize? Wish me all the luck!"

"We will know the result soon. If you are lucky, you will get something helpful. But don't get your hopes up too much." She gently patted his head, not wanting him to be disappointed later.

The space inside the Chromatic Machine swirled, and all the light spheres stirred up chaotically.

Myah could hear the 'tum, tum!' noises.

Somehow, it sounds weirdly pleasant.

...

"Hey, looks, the new blood is trying his luck."

A few veterans Adventurers looked over with a hint of interest.

Although they weren't playing, watching the prize spheres twirling inside the Chromatic Machine still thrilled them. It was addicting.

"How long has it been? If I remember correctly, the last time someone won the highest prize offer in this branch was about three years ago?"

"With White color as the lowest reward one can get, the miscellaneous stuff, then Green, Blue, and finally Purple as the highest reward. What do you think he will get? Bet your money quickly. I will be the dealer!"

"Isn't it obvious!?"

"I bet ten low-grade Spirit Stones that he will get a White-colored prize!"

"I bet five low-grade Spirit Stones on White!"

"I bet one Spirit Stone on purple!"

"Tsk, how cheap of you. It's 1 to 10! Bet some more if you have the gut!"

"Fine, I bet 50 Spirit Stones." The taunted man stated with a petty tone, "Whoever wins my money is a dog."

A random chap chimed in, "Even the association said that the chance of getting a purple prize was only about 1%, a blue prize is 5%, green is 24%, and white is 50%. What? You all think he is going to get lucky?"

"Damn, I think I will also buy a few tickets to try later. Just watching like this makes my blood bubble again. Tell ye what, I dreamed of a golden dragon last night. Surely, I get my redemption today! Yes, definitely!"

Suddenly—

The Chromatic Machine comes to a standstill.

Then,

A random glowing sphere falls neatly into the prepared framework below in the next second.

Thud!

DING DONG!

The atmosphere freeze.

"..."

"..."

"..."

Everyone in the hall fell silent.

The Adventurers are shocked!

The receptionists are shocked!

Elena was shocked!

Mu Suyin was also astounded!

Bumpkin's tail waggled!

In the framework attached to the Chromatic Machine was a glowing Purple-colored sphere! Although its size was only about a typical baseball, its dazzling light brightened up the entire hall.

"Well... shit!" The dealer stood dumbfounded momentarily then ran away without even looking back.

"Fuck you! Give me my 500 Spirit Stones right now!"

"Good lord!"

"Fuck me!"

The crowd was instantly stunned and quickly broke out in a loud discussion. All eyes fell on the prize as their jaws dropped in shock.

Three years...

In Yellow Town, three years ago, was the last time someone ever won a Purple prize from the Chromatic Machine!

What's more, it's rumored that the item that person got was a Rank 3 magic treasure with a rare Ability, an extremely precious item auctioned in another big city at a sky-high price.

Now that another Purple prize appeared, it was hard for everyone to calm down.

They were greatly interested in the unknown item sealed within!

"Grandma, grandma, what did I get?" Myah immediately asked. "Tell me, I wanna know!"

Mu Suyin spoke in a stiff tone, "It... it's a Purple-colored prize."

"Hehe, I did? That's awesome! I guess my chanting worked, and you wanted to stop me." He exclaimed and performed a victorious pose, a V hand sign.

"Well, what are the odds... This situation was somewhat unexpected.

"Look at your cheeky smile; who would have thought that you would be so lucky and win the one of best prize? Even I'm amazed." Mu Suyin giggled and gave his inflated cheeks a good squeeze.

After pondering for a moment, she placed the sphere onto Myah's hand and stated, "You can open it by injecting your spirit energy inside. By doing so, the outer shell will disintegrate and unsealing the thing inside."

"Un!" He nodded eagerly and did as she told.

Soon, the strands of spirit energy automatically broke down the outer shell of the sphere into numerous little light sparkles.

After a flash of blinding light, the item sealed within comes to sight for all to see. Myah could feel the thing enlarged and had to hold it with both hands.

"My god!"

"It...it's a Rank 3, Thousand Year Old Mystic Earth Fruit!"
