It's her day off today but she is reading some documents on her room now while I'm on my computer, live streaming a game with my friends in my room too.
I'm talking with my friends when I heard a knock, I tilted my head to see her waiting outside the doorway, I never closed my door so she can just barged in my room. I immediately turn off my microphone.
"Hey..."
"Do you have a spare pen? I forgot to buy yesterday."
My brows furrowed together. When was the last time I used a pen? I scanned my room to give me clues where I usually put my pen.
"I think I have one in that box" I pointed the wooden cabinet, I'm about to get up but she stopped me, "You're playing, right? I can get it."
I gently nodded and continue to play my game and one of my friends said, "You forgot to turn off your mic." then, they all laughed in unison.
"What?"
They are still laughing. Chloe suddenly moved behind me. "What?"
i turned my head to face her but she was so close, I jerked back. She laughed at my reaction.
"I'm live, they can see you..." I said when I recovered from my shocked.
Her eyes had a hint of shocked but it changes back to normal. "So?"
One of my friends messaged in the group chat, her eyes diverted into the screen.
Dello: Hi, Chloe.
I can hear my friends teasing me non-stop on my headphones.
"Do you mind if I talk to them?" She asked.
The game can't be paused, and it we will lose some points in the rank if we won't win this game. I mouthed to her, "This game is important."
"We can still get the points back if we will lose in this game, right?"
They all agreed and we ended the livestream, so I removed my headphones with a heavy heart and put it on her. She grinned and giggled at the same time.
"Hi, I'm Chloe... yes... " she was nodding and smiling. I can't hear what they're talking about so I moved slowly, next to her so I can hear it.
Fuck, I can't hear it. I'm not gonna buy expensive headphones anymore.
"Sure... I'll try..." she said while still on headphones while I wait like a dog beside her. I'm sure she's gonna tell me it anyway what they had told her anyway.
There was a long silence. She was just nodding and she glared at me for short moment.
I'm dead. What was that?
"Thank you." She removed the headphones and slammed it near the keyboard. She left without uttering a word.
I immediately put back my headphones. "What was that? Did you all say something bad?"
"Uh no, you're gonna find out that later. Trust me."
I rolled my eyes even though they cannot see me and said my good bye.
She's mad right? She's not gonna shove the pen on my neck?
"Chloe?" After few minutes looking around. She probably went out.
I sat down the sofa in the living room waiting for her.
I texted her.
"Where are you?"
"I'm buying a pen, your pen have no ink anymore"
