"How do you know the policewoman?" Melissa asked Adel. It was something that was eating her from the inside, as soon as she saw the woman's face lit up when Adel made his triumphant entrance into Marcos's apartment.
"As you know, I've been Marcos's friend for quite some time now, and I kind of know every single one of Marco's friends. I met various of his acquaintances, once in the clinic he was supplying me with human blood, that day I met the lieutenant. At the time she was Marco's fiancée. Later I learned that he wasn't man enough to keep his promise to her". Adel said while sitting on the bench outside the police station. Marco was being interrogated and Melissa didn't want to go back to the mansion without him.
Adel had offered her stay with her until they released Marco, and he was sure that the lieutenant will do anything in her power not to keep the doctor here, deep inside him Adel knew that the woman still had feelings for him.
