Chapter 1 - I Stood There Watching

Since the day I arrived here, everything feels different. People are gathering around me as if I am their great possession to hold. They are chanting some phrases in my ear which I'm unable to understand. Oh, How badly I want to yell at them, but I have no words to speak.

There is only one women who I like a little, as she knows when I'm hungry. She feeds me and takes care of me like no one else. How lovely she is!

As time went by, I am finally able to understand them a little. I notice how their behaviour changes as they get around me. Do they like me? OR Am I troubling them? Their expression makes me feel uncomfortable. So I cry aloud often.

Today I am walking towards the women I like. She is standing there watching and immediately hold me tight. I am smiling seeing her happy. Now she keeps on repeatedly telling me to call her this word "MUMMY" which seems difficult but I will give a try.

Today I am so hungry but she is busy doing her own works. Should I call her once? Okay let me try. "Momy, Momy". Did she hear it? I guess she did, she is coming towards me. Why are her eyes red? Is it water pouring from her eyes? She is holding me so tight now. I think I should tell her this word more often.

Mummy is saying many months have passed since I came in this world. Even I am starting to like this surrounding around me. Will it be like this forever?

I guess no.

Why is there a different expression in her eyes? Why is she running? Suddenly she put me in a small basket and covered me. What is happening here? Should I cry or call her?

Hell, I am seeing something weird. She is shouting and there is nobody to help her. I see four legs and a sharp knife. I am feeling something terrible inside me. Before I could even call her "Mummy," they just pierced this sharp thing inside her. Suddenly she stopped crying and I couldn't utter a word.

I stood there watching.....
